I saw a child chasing after his dog this morning. And for some reason it stirred up all sorts of emotions in me, silly as that may be. I’m sure things like that happen all the time, but perhaps it is exactly that which tugged at my heart. How little we pay attention to the mundane details of life anymore. Instead we chase after wealth and fame, affection and attention from people that don’t even know or care about us.
I suppose that moment this morning reminded me of what I truly treasure and love about life.
