It was a nice weekend
what do you mean my disability disables my abilities? what the fuck
I sat in my partners studio and drew this, as our flat had no electric or heating last week.
Recently
I've been using this tiny watercolour tin for ages, but I just upgraded to a slightly larger one
I think I prefer writing on a mailing list to using tumblr?
Clothes that I miss now that I only have a few things
Remembering how to draw tight lines
So, this week I have mostly been moving to Austria. Which has put a bit of a crimp on almost everything else
Hanging out at stansted airport, very early in the morning
Today's sketchbook! I'm finding it hard to devote time to sketching, in the "makes you better at art, free-form sketching" as I have a few big things coming up. There's been a lot of overhanging stress.
Went to the new mega marks and Spencer's on the edge of town, and then sat and faffed around on my phone for ages rather than draw the final few pages of my comic. Can't say the M&S is a great cafe to work in, as I felt the cold dead eyes of a bunch of brexit voters on me. The coffee was tolerable.
This is a watercolour I did way back, and now I'm kicking myself I didn't do more of them at the time
Making comics about potatoes
This is a pretty cheesy picture because I can't be bothered to scan it in. Finally got out for the first time in ages and did some drawing at the French cafe in Bedford; the coffee and people who work their are lovely, and the other half of the shop is an art supply place.
Usually I'll go through a sketchbook in about three months, but I've had this one since the early part of June and I've barely made a dent in it (see last post). This is a bummer, because it means I've got to do loads of practice to get my drawing form back.
