A shot taken of the old lighthouse in Chania, a one of its own kind due to the Islamic influences on it’s architecture. This old harbour town along with the rest of Crete only joined the rest of Greece about 100 years ago, so the island itself is teaming with buildings, runes and landmarks of Turkish, Venetian and Middle Eastern influence.

The concept of time is much like a river, infinitely flowing and twisting and turning through the nooks and crannies of existence. You can never step into the same river twice, just like how a moment captured is also a moment lost. A moment converted into a memory, the beauty of which can only be rediscovered through the lens of nostalgia.

This was captured within the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral one Summer whilst I studied at University there. I miss the quaint buildings and cobbled stones, and how these mysterious paths interweave throughout the city, often leading you to places new. What better way is there to learn than by sometimes getting lost.

Wembury Beach is home to a strip of Devonshire land which acts not only as a National Trust sight but also as a naturalistic treasure, preserving natural beauty in its original form. This was taken last Summer on a cool, breezy walk by the sea.
