Très vite, les psychiatres et les photographes se sont intéressés à leur univers mutuel. Jusque tard dans le vingtième siècle, on photographiait les patients pour en dresser une forme d’inventaire, dans une tentative de documenter la maladie plutôt que le malade. Dans les années soixante du siècle dernier, la relation a changé : à travers leur œuvre, les photographes ont dénoncé les situations intolérables en psychiatrie. L’évidence de l’hôpital psychiatrique appartient résolument au passé. En psychiatrie la fascination pour la photographie est toujours à l’ordre du jour. Mais l’enjeu a changé : le patient se met lui-même au travail pour offrir un regard sur son monde. (Photo)sensible. Portraits Psychiatres Patients 1865-2015 montre une histoire longue et intense, avec des lignes surprenantes et inattendues : des mains crispées, d’étranges courbes corporelles, des instruments médicaux à moitié dissimulés.

I've just seen the 11th episode (named Duckling), season #2, of Louie, which lasts two times more than usual. This episode deals with actors, cheerleaders, singers, people ... who are brought into conflict zones, where the United States is involved, so that these people can support the troops, especially young people who are away from their families, their country and elsewhere, even away from anywhere or anyone in the world.

At the end, the episode is dedicated to Tim Hetherington, which was a british-american photo-journalist born in 1970 and killed in 2011 while he was covering the Lybian civil war. Craig Stecyk is an american photographer who was both in the pioneering time of skating and surfing, as well as the lifestyle that surrounded his life and times. It would be possible that, without him and Glen E. Friedman, today's photography of surfing and skating wouldn't be the same.

This photographer explores the use of electrical discharge as a means of creating images in photographic media. Phillip applies various household chemicals to the surface of a film that engages with 15,000 volts. In a flash, the electrical impulse creates spectacular impressions like networks of blood vessels in the retina. The project takes its cues from many differents artists from Man Ray to Hiroshi Sugimoto. You can retrieve his pictures on his website
