last day to reblog
you now you want to.
Gonna have to wait a whole year if you miss this.
A lot of you guys liked the message I posted from last night, so I figured I would post it here if you needed it. <3
Just in case anyone needs this. Thomas loves you, and I love you.
can someone write this down for me???
I legitimately started crying I didn’t realize how much I need to hear this.
Hey, guess what? You made it through the day [comforting laughter]. What a day it has been, but you made it. Look at that. I – I know that there are a lot of fears out there, and trust me I have fears too, but you know what – you know what I see – I see people … out there, right now banning together. Despite those fears, to fight the fears together. People who are supporting one another … in this time and I think that – that is the beautiful thing to focus on. Courage in the face of fear and now’s the time, more than any, to do that. And to see so many people supporting each other, like this, that is the thing to focus on. That is the love you need to focus on. That shows me that there is – there are things out there to fight for, you guys. It’s a beautiful, beautiful thing. And don’t let – don’t let … this gets you down. If you are scared, that’s because either … you have something to lose or you know someone who might have something to lose, and you’re concerned for them. That’s because you’re a good person. Any right now more than any – ever – we support each other. That is what we do. And I’m seeing that. And that is what we will keep doing. We’re gonna keep fighting – for love and acceptance and representation. I have the utmost faith that we’re going to be OK. We’re going to be OK. [Huge comforting smile] It’s all good, we are going to be OK. We’ll take it one day at a time. I love you. I love you all. All you guys, gals. And non-binary pals. It’s all gonna be good. OK? Alright. Have a good night. See you in the morning [soft chuckle].
I always forget about this and then it comes back onto my dash and reminds me how comforting Thomas really is. He has no idea how much he truly helps. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t find his channel.
HOW TO IDENTIFY A CHILD PREDATOR ONLINE ( Masterpost )
This is a guide to identify code words and symbols used by child predators online. Reblog to keep a minor safe! If you know any other predator code or symbols please let me know so I can add them to this list.
Term: MAP
MAP is an acronym for “Minor Attracted Person/People”. It’s the name of a pedophilic community who has risen on tumblr. It was created in order to assemble Pedophiles, Hebephiles and Ephebophiles. On top of it, the creation of the word is a strategy for them to avoid being identified as predators right away. The community was made to spread positivity about pedophiles and their attraction toward children. The community is very anti recovery.
Note: MAP can also stand for Multi Animator Project. Use context clues and make sure not to attack someone’s project by mistake.
Term: NOP
An acronym that stands for “Non Offending Pedophiles”. Also a community. Pretty much the same thing as the MAP community.
Term: Non Offending
A pedophile who doesn’t interact with children at all or try their best to avoid them. A non offending pedophile does not consume child pornography or medias meant to mimic child pornography ( example: Loli pornography, cartoon child porn, etc ).
A non offending pedophile also doesn’t spread positivity about pedophilia or promotes pedophilia.
NOTE: A lot of pedophiles call themselves Non Offending regardless of whether they offend or not in order to avoid backlash. They will twist words and try to redefine what “offending” means. Keep in mind that a non offending pedophile will do their best to AVOID all contact with children.
A pedophile who purposely interacts with children in ANY way is offending.
Term: CP
Short for Child Pornography.
Note: CP can also be short for Cheese Pizza. Make sure to use context clues before jumping to conclusions.
Term: Sim CP/Child Pornography
A term for simulated child pornography. Simulated child pornography is pornographic medias featuring no real children, but what looks like a child in order to simulate child pornography. It legally counts as child pornography as well. Even thought predators will insist that it isn’t as bad.
Term: AOA
Acronym for “Age Of Attraction”.
A term to define the age range that a pedophile is attracted to.
Term: Anti/No Contact
A term to describe a pedophile who doesn’t touch children in a sexual manner.
NOTE: No Contact is NOT a synonym of “Non Offending”. Some “no contact” pedophiles might still interact with children, promote pedophilia and watch child pornography.
Term: Pro Contact
A term to define pedophiles or supporters who advocate for sexual relationships between children and adults.
Term: Hebephile
People who are attracted to minors from 11 to 14 years old.
Term: Ephebophile
People who are attracted to minors from 15 to 19 years old.
Term: Virped / Virtuous Pedophile
Also a “non offending” community.
The “MAP” flag
A flag coined by pedophiles on tumblr. They made it on pride month in hope that the LGBT+ community would accept and support them. It didn’t work we don’t want them anywhere near us. Still watch out for that flag in order to identify them.
The “Lesbian MAP” flag.
A flag coined by a pedophile on tumblr who’s a lesbian. Very similar to the MAP flag.
Note: The Lesbian MAP flag highly resemble the Non Binary Lesbian flag. Make sure not to confuse the two because NB lesbians aren’t pedophiles or bad people! Here’s a picture of the Non Binary Lesbian flag:
The Boy Lover Symbol
This symbol, a blue spiraling triangle framed by another triangle, is known as the BoyLover logo, used by adults who prefer young boys.
Note: The term “Boy Love” can also describe a type of media that features a relationship between two boys/men. Make sure to use context clues and not attack mlm/gay men medias on accident. However the symbol/picture is exclusively made for pedophiles.
The Younger Boy Lover Symbol
This symbol is for pedophiles who prefer much younger boys. Known as the LittleBoyLover logo, it is also a blue triangle spiral like the BoyLover logo, but it is drawn in a child-like scraw.
The Girl Lover Symbol
The GirlLover logo is a heart inside a heart, indicated that the pedophile prefers young girls.
Note: The term “Girl Love” can also describe a type of media that features a relationship between two girls/women. Make sure to use context clues and not attack wlw/sapphic/lesbians medias on accident. However the symbol/picture is exclusively made for pedophiles.
The Child Lover Symbol
Pedophiles who do not have a preference of gender use the ChildLover logo, which is a butterfly with four hearts for wings.
The Childlove Online Media Activist Logo
Pedophile promotion symbol: This is the Childlove Online Media Activism logo, which pedophiles use as a symbol to promote their ‘cause’: that sexual relationships between adults and minors should be decriminalized.
The North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA)
The North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) is a pedophile and pederasty advocacy organization in the United States. It works to abolish age-of-consent laws criminalizing adult sexual involvement with minors and campaigns for the release of men who have been jailed for sexual contacts with minors that did not involve coercion.

… Okay that’s actually kind of clever.
Other pro-tip; before you save as PDF, change the font size to 1 so it takes up as little space as possible and doesn’t make any unsightly text gaps.
Advanced level: put it in a text box behind your actual text and it won’t be visible at all.

Autistic tumblr: Do you have any advice for an autistic person learning to drive?
1. Start in a parking lot to learn the way the vehicle moves. Take as much time as you need there. My first 22 hours of driving were spent in an empty parking lot. Go forwards, backwards, drive in circles, park in the empty spots, etc.
2. Minimize distractions. Turn the radio off. Silence your phone. Keep the windows up. Ask whoever’s teaching you not to talk unless they are correcting you or answering a question or telling you something absolutely important. No chatter. This will help your concentration so much.
3. Ask questions. About everything. If you’re not certain about what a sign means or what to do in a given situation, even if it’s not present, ask. If you forget, ask again. There’s a lot of information you need to know and NT people tend to assume you already know most of it from watching the adults in charge of you drive, so they won’t always volunteer information you need.
4. Don’t drive for too long. Start out with small fifteen or twenty minute sessions. Driving is a really multitasking- and processing-heavy endeavor and it will exhaust you. As you get more comfortable and learn how to recognize when you’re tiring, you can go for longer spans.
5. Don’t drive if you’re not sure you’re up for the mental effort required. Know your limits. Be safe. You can always practice another day.
6. If possible, get someone who is patient and won’t raise their voice except when absolutely necessary to teach you. An anxious parent who gets loud every time you’re a little too close to the edge of the road for their liking is going to only cause you more stress and make it harder to learn. You need gentle corrections, not tongue-lashings.
7. Take as long as you need to feel comfortable. Don’t feel like you need to be ready for the test in however-many-months. Sure, you might have to renew your permit, but that’s okay if it means you’re being safe and learning at a pace that’s best for you.
8. Be patient with yourself. You are going to make mistakes. Some will be scary. But everyone does and you’ll get better.
ADHD Survival tip #20
Try and avoid driving when you’re off your meds. If you don’t have meds and you’re dealing with it on your own try and remain calm and as focussed on the road as possible. ADHD can be a hazard on the road. Stay safe on the road guys!
Autistip #18 - More Driving Tips
1. Create an emergency bag to keep in your car. Carry a flashlight, blanket, water bottle, map, written emergency contact information of family/friends/insurance company/etc, basic first-aid supplies (bandaids, acetaminophen, any personal medical necessities such as glucose tablets), and whatever else is relevant to your location and usual routes.
2. Use a steering wheel cover as a stimtoy for driving.
3. Purchase or create a seatbelt cover if the seatbelt provides negative sensory input.
4. Label your steering wheel or dashboard with L / R for Left / Right reminders.
5. Carry sunglasses for bright, overstimulating sensory days.
Tips for driving while autistic
I feel like a lot of autistic people have a lot of trouble driving and getting their license. For many people that’s okay, there’s nothing wrong with that, y'all are valid in every possible way. Unfortunately, many of us live in cities where public transportation might as well not exist, in food deserts, in situations where we do not have people who can drive us places, in cities which make bike riding life-threatening and sometimes illegal. I would like to reiterate: there is absolutely nothing wrong with not being able to drive. The fucked up thing is a system which forces people to drive. This is intended to be suggestions for autistic people in similar situations to mine: in a food desert, no public transit, not enough money to pay for uber, etc.
Tips for driving while autistic and things to be prepared for:
-if you start dissociating and don’t feel that you can drive safely, pull over if you can. If there’s no clear place to pull over, get as far to the side as possible and turn your hazards on (this is the button with two red triangles, one inside of the other)
-keep plenty of water in the car. Keep food in the car too, but to prevent mice and rats from being tempted to investigate, keep the food in tightly sealed containers.
-if you miss the turn, it’s ok. I promise, it’s ok. Just take the next turn. Usually you’ll still be able to get to your destination by taking the next turn, and if not, it’ll give you a chance to pull over and re-evaluate or turn around.
-people will use some body language to indicate what they are intending to do. A waving hand means, “you go ahead of me.” A still hand, palm out means, “I’ll go first/thank you.”
-if you’re driving down a street too narrow for two cars, and you meet a car going in the opposite direction, just pull over for a second. Or if it’s super narrow, someone may have to back out of the street. It’s not a big deal. Try to be nice in those situations and they usually will be too. For that matter, sometimes I have to swerve slightly into the lane of incoming traffic because of bicycles and that happens too. People around you will do their best to compensate, but try to make sure you’re giving them enough time and warning for them to compensate (use your turn signal or hazards and spend as little time in the wrong lane as possible).
-no one wants to crash. Usually if you do something stupid the people around you will compensate and avoid you, although you might get some honks and middle fingers (yeah, mentally prepare for that)
-in terms of speed limit, it’s usually better to match the cars around you. The actual speed on a road is usually about 5mph over the posted speed limit.
-it doesn’t matter if you are going 15mph over the speed limit. There are still assholes who will tailgate you. (Meaning they will drive really close behind your car attempting to intimidate you into driving faster) The key thing to remember is that they also don’t want to crash, which means all they will do is intimidate. Because I’m an asshole and I hate tailgaters, I usually slow down when someone starts tailgating me. Remember: do not start driving faster. Police will ticket the person in front (aka you) because that person is “setting the speed” and they will not ticket the tailgater.
-parking is stressful, especially in downtown areas. Be prepared to wander for a while looking for parking and factor that into your drive time.
-some places no longer require you to learn to parallel park. Please learn anyway if you feel able. It will make finding parking a lot easier later on.
-bicycles will always be where you least expect them. Always. Especially if it’s illegal for them to be there. Just be prepared for them being anywhere and everywhere and not following the laws of traffic at all.
-the first time it rains or snows in the fall/winter, literally everyone will have forgotten how to drive. It’s a thing. Be prepared for the roads to be chaotic
-the most difficult part is the test itself. That’s the part where you disregard everything I’ve said about how driving actually works and just obey the letter of the law the best you can. Don’t forget you can retake the test if need be. Also, there will often be reviews online talking about which DMV in your area has the easiest test route.
-I try to do meditation breathing a lot while I’m driving under stressful circumstances. It’s very helpful for me
I hope this is helpful. If anyone else has any other tips for driving while autistic, I would be glad to hear them.
Edit: I can’t believe I forgot this! I’ve found that certain types of stimming can be somewhat dangerous while driving. I’d say chewing stims are fine, vocal stims are cool, but I would hold off on the visual and physical motion stims until you’ve had quite a bit of driving practice. Auditory stims are somewhat ok, but be careful to make sure you can still hear sirens and stuff (also earbuds/headphones while driving are illegal in many places)
-turn signals can basically function as a way of telling people around you “hey, pay attention! I’m about to do something!” Even if you’re just changing lanes or are swerving around an open car door you can use them to communicate that people should be ready for you to do something unexpected.
-traffic will stop much more quickly than you expect. Always keep an eye on the brake lights ahead of you.
Edit: I live in California. These tips may not apply everywhere.
I just got my first car! Any tips on how to keep it clean and working well?
Car Care Tips
Things to keep in your car:
A first aid kit
A flashlight
A tire pressure gauge
Your registration and insurance info
Your car’s manual
Sunglasses
An umbrella
If you have a vagina- sanitary products
A rag or two to clean up spills
Napkins (you never know when you need napkins!)
Get your car’s oil changed regularly! Every car shop ever offers this service for around $25 and it doesn’t take very long to complete.
If you live somewhere with snow, get your car’s under carriage washed throughout the winter months. Salt and chemicals are used on roads to make them more drivable, but these in turn cause the bottom of your car to rust.
Speaking of car washes- get familiar with other car care services. Lots of gas stations have air pumps for you to inflate your tires. Car tires loose pressure during the winter and gain pressure in the summer due to temperature changes, so you may need to adjust your tire’s pressure throughout the year. Many car washes have little vacuum stations where you can vacuum your car seats.
Learn how to change a tire.
Check engine lights are not aways deadly, but they sometimes can be! Mechanics with any common decency will run your car’s check engine code free of charge, it takes literally thirty seconds to do so. I’ve also heard that Autozone will do this as well. If your check engine light comes on, don’t just ignore it. Learn what the code is and decide if it something that needs to be addressed immediately. Do NOT put your life in jeopardy.
Do NOT wait until the end of the month to get your yearly inspection completed. If your inspection is up at the end of September, go in August. You can get your inspection done early! I recommend doing this, because sometimes unexpected and expensive problems turn up. Don’t give yourself a week to come up with $500!
Similarly- not all mechanics are stand up. If someone gives you an expensive quote, don’t just settle for it. Shop around and see what other mechanics say. Also, ask your friends/family who their mechanic is. A friend of mine is a tow truck driver and he recommend my current mechanic to me.
If your car starts suddenly smoking.

Let's talk about mynoise.net
Have you ever been listening to Rainymood and thought, “Yeah, this is good … but it would be nice if I could customize the sound more, or if there was a little more choice.
Let me introduce you to MyNoise.
MyNoise is a customizable sounscape looper with so many options, even within each soundscape. So say, for instance, you really love rain sounds when you write or study or relax. Anything. I know I’m a big fan of rain sounds. They have a page for that.
But say you like really high, pattery rain, and LOTS of low thunder. Here’s where MyNoise really stands out: you can customize that. See those sliders with all the cute colors? That is your equalizer. You can adjust the levels based on what you want to hear more and less of. Here’s how it looks when you want high, pattery rain and low, rumbly thunder:
But say rain isn’t really your jam. Say you want something a little more ambient, a little more background noise-y. Something with people. Well, they have customizable coffee house chatter that even has the levels listed for things like “kitchen,” “babble,” and “table”:
Or say you miss the ocean.
Or say you miss your cat.
Or say you miss your spaceship.
Or say you miss the dungeon where you and your team of scalawag adventurers used to explore and face off against, say, dragons. In the dungeon.
This site is seriously so helpful, and those are just a fraction of every kind of sounscape the site has to offer. The best part is that if you want to layer it with music (for instance, I’ll layer a playlist + rain + coffee shop if the scene I’m writing takes place in a coffee shop), you can adjust the master volume, meaning all of your layers stay at their respective volumes, just louder or quieter.
Enjoy!
OH MY GOD
Y’ALL I JUST STARTED USING THIS TODAY BUT THIS HAS BROKEN THROUGH MY WRITER’S BLOCK LIKE NOTHING ELSE.
TRY IT. USE IT. LOVE IT.
Gonna try this later. Seems like an amazing great idea
