List of characters in Sparklink Stars that I think is a combination of two characters

Ash and Rent (The step sisters + The glass slipper)

They're both biological brothers (I think since they share the same last name)

Drizella and Anastasia have tried the shoe and the Fragile brothers each have one long boot on one of their leg.

Rize (Belle and Beast)

Has Belle's love for books

Seems to be distant which could be from Beast

His blue eyes could also be a reference when Beast turned back to human

Sue (The Enchantress + the rose)

He was a rose

He's green

Rafta (Randall and Mike)

Randall full nane is Randall Boggs, sound similar to Rafta Vox

The last one is more of a stress but I really like the idea of combining villain and hero into one character. Because it could be the twist villain trope. Especially when Monster inc has one.

I'm not the one who came up with these first. They're from various discussion from different people.

I think they're trying to copy what Twst did with Silver.

Rusca Moncreaf

Pros:

Stand out as the only member wearing black from top to bottom

Has an acorn earing, a distinct good feature for if he ever wears something else

Ranka Manku

Pros:

Has unique tie than the rest. According to his profile, he's the youngest member, so perhaps that the way to distinguished their rank in the group

Has a matching earring with Rusca, a good way to reference their inspiration and implying their connection

The leaf pins are cute

Cons for both:

Like Michel, their designs rely too heavily on the accessories and decorations. People won't recognize who they were supposed represent without the pins and earrings

Earrings too small

Overall, I think their designs are fine, but I'd add even more acorn motifs, especially to their chains. They almost look like acorn, just a little bit more. I'd also give Rusca black or dark brown eyes since Ranka's red eyes are a reference to Dale's red nose. Their earrings could have been bigger. Have their hair look like the chipmunks ears

Neo-Michel

Pros: He stand out the most as only member wearing blue jeans... that's it

Cons:

It’s ironically unfitting, since Mickey is the one who's famous for wearing red shorts. And yet Michel is the one that wore blue.

His design relies too heavily on the decorations on his outfit. This could become a problem if you take away Michel's jacket and tie clip he would stopped representing Mickey.

Personally, instead of the two red streaks in his hair, I think he should have had two circular hair clips near his bangs to subtly evoke Mickey's ears. I also think his overall design should incorporate more circular shapes to better reinforce the Mickey motif. A Mickey shape hair shine would be cute.

Rounder chin, less pointy and sharp bangs and hair in general.

He doesn't have to look like Mickey. He just needs to look less bland.

Hugh Gardener

Pros:

Has a different skin tone than others

Sweater pairs well with hat

Hair is unique and looks like Goofy ears, making him recognizable as Goofy even in different outfits

Cons:

There was a criticism that his skin color needed to be in different types of shade.( I'm not the right messenger for this but I think I agree)

There's a possibility if his sprites aren't moving. The hair won't look like ears anymore.

If I were to change anything, it would be the way he wears his uniform. Since Goofy is often portrayed as clumsy, I think Hugh's uniform could reflect that. For example, his tie could be slightly loosened, collar left open, buttons could be fastened incorrectly. Greener hair perhaps.

Didi Cedric Bird

Pros:

The most recognizable inspiration

Unique color hair

Doesn't need much pins or decorations to tell who he's representing

Cons:

Too standout, unless there's a story behind this, his sailor outfit does not match with the rest of the members

I'd have him wearing similar clothing to the others but keep the sailor hat and have his tie in a bow. Like this:

Before I discuss about individual character designs. I'd be talk about their design as a group.

First up are the UPbeats!

Judging by their uniforms, I'd guess they're a classic idol group. I imagine their music would consist of upbeat pop songs with cheerful lyrics. Their outfits remind me of what Disneyland performers in Japan might wear.

Pros: None of the characters' outfits are repetitive. Each one has its own unique variation of the uniform. Which makes each one is as standout as the other. The outfits do represent Disney brand well and seemed to be marketable and wearable.

Cons: However, Personally, I don't like that they're all so different. A uniform should look mostly the same, or at least still be clearly recognizable as the same outfit. Here, each character puts too much of their own spin on the design, making the group feel less cohesive.

I think there are two possible reasons for this. Either the designers realized that the character designs were a bit too basic, making most of the members difficult to identify unless each one had something unique added to their outfit, or the company wanted more opportunities to sell merchandise. After all, why sell one version of a group's outfit when you can sell five?

For example, imagine cosplaying as Ranka and Rasca (the two brunets on the right). In real life, most people can't perfectly recreate every detail of a character's design, so if all they had were brown hair and a black-and-red uniform, they probably wouldn't be very recognizable. Giving one of them a jacket helps solve that problem.

Didi stands out a little too much with his sailor-style outfit. On top of that, his white hair makes him stand out even more in a group that's mostly black and brown hair. This wouldn't be much of an issue if he were the group's leader.

In conclusion, there will probably explanation for their differences, but for now I think they should have worn more similar and consistent uniforms, while putting more focus on making their hairstyles and hair colors distinct from one another. The leader of the group can be allowed to look different so that casual audiences can easily identify who the leader is. That way, each character could still feel unique and be easily recognizable.

For example:

I do wish for every single member of UPbeats! to have animal features like ears for the others and wings for Didi. Maybe there isn't an existing of hybrids in this universe, but at the time while this was written, Shu Ayakashi (based on Sulley from Monster, Inc.) is the only character with horns and sharp ears. I've yet know if it's an accessory or a feature. But it would have greatly give them distinction.

Or they can have it in their magical form (if they had it) kinda like KiraKira Precure

My headcanon of Endelore's relationships and it's messy

If Nicola is anything like Gaston, then I think he'll be the instigator behind most of the group's problems.

Most of the members seem closed off or aloof, except for Nicola. Rize loves books and would probably lose himself in whatever his current hyperfixation is (same). Shan struggles with insecurity, attachment issues, and his curse (also same, except the curse part). Nicola appears narcissistic, and Sue... well, Sue was a flower.

I think Rize (Belle) and Shan (Beast) will have an enemies-to-"lovers" kind of character arc, where they gradually learn to understand and respect each other. Rize will probably become curious about Shan's curse and want to help him, but Shan will keep his distance because he doesn't trust Rize yet.

I also don't think Rize sees Nicola as someone special the way Nicola seems to see Rize. Rize probably just views him as a close friend or even like a brother.

Because of that, Nicola could become jealous of the attention and concern Rize shows toward Shan, especially since Rize has never shown the same level of curiosity or interest in him.

It's harder to judge Sue's relationships with the others since he's based on a flower rather than a person. However, I think Shan and Sue must share a particularly deep bond. Shan treasures the few friends he has, so he probably can't stand the thought of Sue getting hurt, much like how the Beast was fiercely protective of the enchanted rose. It also makes me wonder if Sue's existence is somehow connected to Shan's curse.

And in the end Sue and Nicola making out first.

Prediction about the upcoming game Sparklink Stars Part 3

1. Each area of the map has a tree, which reminds me of the Pixie Dust Tree from Tinker Bell. If I remember correctly, in order to fly using pixie dust, you have to believe and let go of your doubts. So I'm assuming the magic in this game works in a similar way, where the characters need to believe in magic in order to use it. This is possible since the game has lots of stars motifs and Tinker Bell franchise sometimes reference on the two stars.

2. The next area, Crystal Float, could either only have "Cinderella" or at least two characters. I have no reason other than because there has been twelve characters by now, and it's an enough for the marketable twelve Zodiac. Also since they used "Cinderella" in the first promotional artwork and the castle is located in the center of the island, I assume this area has the strongest magical energy compared to the rest.

3. These two would bullied the quack out of Didi.

Although it might look like I'm a Disney fan or that I'll be a fan of Sparklink Stars game, the truth is that I don't really care about it. However, the thing I'm most excited about is the future of Mike × Sulley fan art. Games like this always come with plenty of fan service, and fan service = shipping material.

I've been shipping this pair for a long time, but there's never been much content for them, probably because they aren't considered appealing enough. With this new game, though, people will finally have Mike and Sulley content in the form of pretty anime boys.

This takes me back to when I first discovered the internet, before I even understood the concept of social media. I'd stumble across Disney and Pixar characters drawn in an anime art style in the most random places. But those days are over. No more searching Google Images! No more obscure websites! No more stolen art on Pinterest!

Today marks the beginning of a new era for Mike × Sulley!!!

And I 100% believe Disney knew exactly what they were doing. Teasing the game gives fans a reason to revisit their movies and shows. However, it also had one unexpected side effect.

After rewatching Mike and Sulley's scenes, I realized that their dynamic is surprisingly similar to Cam and Mitchell's from Modern Family (Mike is Cam). That realization somehow led to me watching Cam and Mitchell compilations on YouTube.

And I don't even like Modern Family!

Prediction about the upcoming game Sparklink Stars Part 1

There's a new Disney game called Sparklink Stars. As far as I know, it's a Disney x Pixar franchises, similar to Twisted Wonderland. The characters are representations of the classic Disney characters rather than the characters themselves, so they are not Disney characters turned into Anime boys. As a Twisted Wonderland fan, I wanted to make some predictions about this game and write about how I feel about it.

Note: I barely know anything about the game, everything I'm talking about are assumptions. I'm just a little bit exited for this game.

Right now, the game hasn't revealed anything besides the characters and their voice actors. The official website isn't complete yet.

Based on their designs, personalities, and quotes, it seems like they are idols and students. I assume the characters are learning how to, and have the responsibility to, keep dreams and/or magic alive, since the official x (@spalik_jp) account keeps mentioning dreams and magic.

Most recently, the official account has started slowly revealing each character. Right now, they're introducing the characters from Endelore, which is based on Beauty and the Beast.

I'm predicting, from left to right, the characters are based on Cogsworth, Lumiere, Beast and the Enchantress that curse the prince.

Reasons: Based on the pattern of the previous character reveals, I think they'll introduce the "Beast" character first (the blue guy in the middle). "Mickey," or Neo Michel, and "Mike," or Rafta Vox, were introduced first, and they seem to be the lead vocalists (assuming they're an idol group). They were also placed in the center of the silhouette teaser, which makes me think the same pattern will continue.

Some people have speculated that the yellow silhouette could be "Belle," and I would have agreed if it weren't for the major implications of the relationship between the "Beast" and "Belle." Twisted Wonderland has always been very clever with its Ho Yay content, keeping it subtle enough for fans to notice but not obvious enough for casual players. Because of that, I think it's unlikely they would make male counterparts of such a famous romantic couple.

I've also seen a user predict that the green silhouette could be the Enchanted Mirror and the red silhouette could be the Enchanted Rose. The reason I'm against this theory is that, as far as I can tell, the game seems to be choosing famous characters rather than objects or animals. Also, in the original movie, the rose is a representation of the Beast's heart, so it wouldn't make much sense to turn it into a separate character.

Finally, the reason I believe the green silhouette could be the Enchantress is because of the pattern in the previous group reveals. When the Upbeat and aMazinc groups introduced their characters, the last reveal was always the most unexpected.

In the Upbeat group, we got "Mickey," "Donald," and "Goofy," but then the final two characters were "Chip" and "Dale"—characters who aren't usually grouped with the main trio. In aMazinc (based on Monsters, Inc.), the last character was surprisingly Roz, a supporting character that have like three scenes. So I think the final green silhouette could be the Enchantress because

2. It'd be unexpected

Left to right: Lumiere, Beast, and Enchantress. I forgot to mention that I also think green could be Cogsworth. Red could also be Cogsworth. But the pose makes me think of Lumiere more.

The green silhouette could be having a monocle. Idk anyone in beauty the beast with a monocle though. Unless it could be Belle's Dad.

Prediction about the upcoming game Sparklink Stars Part 2

1. I noticed that there are two parts of the map that haven't been revealed yet. Based on what I'm seeing, I think the yellow desert area could be based on Up, since this is a Disney × Pixar game and three out of four revealed areas are based on Disney franchises. It would be fair to include at least one more Pixar franchise. I'm ruling out The Lion King and Aladdin for the same reasons I mentioned earlier.

2. The green area could be based on Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, or The Princess and the Frog because, as far as I know, all three feature Disney's iconic wishing stars.

The game's first promotional artwork also featured the two stars, so the green forest area of the island could be based on any of those three franchises. There's a lot of stars motifs in this game.

3. Some of the characters can be seen wearing a ring on the middle finger of their left hand. I think it could be similar to the magic pens in Twisted Wonderland. Where it is a magical item that each characters would have. I now imagine anime boy Donald Duck having an anime magical girl transformation sequence.

Getting more Beast from Yellow than Belle. The outfit looks more like Beast’s ballroom suit. The rose detailing.

Beast’s eyes are blue; Belle’s brown.

Oh yeah. After looking at it for awhile, I thought so too.

He even got that distance personality.

I saw some people called him Belle and Beast's love child.

Then the blue silhouette could still be Belle, because I remember how Disney movies analysts would say that blue was Belle's signature color before meeting the Beast.

While we on the subject. I saw a post said Mike Wazowski, aka Rafta Vox named sound almost like Randall Boggs. And I haven’t stopped thinking about that.

These could imply some of the characters would have traits from two or more characters combined.
