Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.
another addition as far as physical media goes there is the encyclopedia of national dress (that i still need to buy myself bc this kind of thing is super important to my sort of fantasy designing) but yes i do agree i wish there was EVEN MORE documentation on this

Heey, hello CotL fandom! I’m PlagueDocSimp, a small artist from this lovely community yay✨ Some of you may know me from a few of my Leshy drawings, more specifically from the FNaL/Five Nights at Lamb’s AU (which isn’t mine btw, it belongs to Alanarts, hi).
I’ve finally gathered enough courage and motivation to share my own CotL AU, introducing a brand new character. She’s not exactly an OC, more like one of my sona (or at least one out of two concepts lmao). This idea was born from a random conceptual sketch I made alongside a story written by one of my friends at that exact same moment. He was technically the “co-author” of the character for a while, though he eventually left the project.
Honestly, I was just bored after playing the game one day and thought:
“Wait… what if I was one of the bishops in the game? lmao”
So I drew myself like that and uploaded it to my WhatsApp story, and a friend saw the drawing and proposed a really cool idea. Though I should clarify: the story I’ll be posting is basically a remastered version of the original one, heavily changed and rewritten. Maybe if this project gets enough support, I’ll share some of the original Azeret concepts too. (We even worked a little on what a song for her would sound like, inspired by the Hymns of the Unholy album style)
This project will mainly be a comic, though it’ll also have its own fanfic version (I’ll post the links once everything is ready). Since I’m still learning, I’ll probably upload some parts in Spanish first, same with the comic itself, but don’t worry! I’ll try my best to upload the English versions simultaneously too ✨ I really hope this AU gets enough support to motivate me to keep creating content for it. 🫶
As an introduction, let me present Azeret.
She’s a crow bishop (I love those silly birds so much <3), a member of the Old Faith and bearer of the Grey Crown — the crown of despair, but also hope.
She has quite a history behind her, because she wasn’t always part of this eerie cult known as the Old Faith… or, well, this extremely dysfunctional group of siblings pretending they’re normal xd.
A lot happened, and she eventually isolated herself from the world.
Now it’s Lambert’s mission (yes, I’m calling them Lambert in this AU, wow so original of me unless I come up with something cooler later bruh 💀) to investigate and uncover what happened to this forgotten sixth bishop, buried and erased from history itself… while discovering secrets and many other things: interesting, tragic, emotional, unfair.

Por fin he tenido el valor y motivación de sacar mi propio AU de CotL, agregando un nuevo personaje, no un oc como tal, es mi sona (al menos una de dos conceptos). Esta idea surgió gracias a un bosquejo conceptual mío y la historia de un amigo mío que se escribió en ese mismo momento, que sería el "co-autor" del personaje pero se retiró del proyecto. Literalmente yo estaba aburrida, después de jugar un rato el juego, me pregunté... "Oye, y si yo fuera un obispo del juego? Jaja me voy a dibujar así xdd", y lo subí a una historia mía de Whatsap, a lo que un amigo vio mi dibujo y me propuso una idea buena, aunque cabe aclarar que la historia que subiré es una remasterizada de la original, demasiado cambiada, tal vez si este proyecto tiene apoyo suba todo lo original respecto a Azeret (que va, hasta trabajamos un poco en como sería una canción suya al estilo del Álbum de Hyms of the Unholy).
Este proyecto será un cómic principalmente, aunque tendrá su propio fanfic (subiré los links respectivamente cuando estén listos), que por temas de conocimiento primero subiré partes al español, al igual que los cómics, pero no se preocupen, intentaré subir simultáneamente las versiones al inglés, espero tener algo de apoyo que me invite a seguir creando contenido de este AU.
Como introducción, les presento a Azeret, ella es un cuervo (amo a esas aves tan silly <3), un obispo perteneciente a la Vieja Fe, portadora de la Corona gris, es decir, la desesperación pero también la esperanza. Tiene un gran historial en el pasado, pues no siempre fue parte de este gran y tétrico culto llamado la Vieja Fe, o grupo de hermanos son problemas de hermanos intentado ser funcionales.
Cosas pasaron y se aisló del mundo.
Ahora es misión de Lambert (si, así lo llamaré en el AU, wow que original de mi parte, al menos que se me ocurra un mejor nombre) investigar y descubrir que fue de este sexto obispo olvidado y enterrado por la historia, mientras descubre secretos y más cosas interesantes, tristes, emotivas, injustas.
Eso es todo por ahora, tal vez después traiga más actualizaciones :p.

She's surely one of the most aggressive animatronics, considering her rough temper, even with the somewhat cute appearance she gives.
