Guess that’s it for this place

With Tumblr’s upcoming no adult content policy, I feel it’s time to bail. Even though I only had 1 nsfw post and would be able to deal with the new change, I don’t feel that Tumblr is worth using anymore. Anyway, you can find me every now and then on the discord server.

How is your pulse, still alive?

Still alive, just working on the remake, albeit at a glacial pace. Haven’t posted anything because I feel like there isn’t enough significant progress to warrant that.

New news

To be curt, ppppu NX is dead. Flash is well on its way out, and it’s a drain to work with it. I just have no motivation to deal with it and the limitations that come with it anymore.

And now for the good news. I’m working on ppppu nxg, which continues what NX set out to do but using an engine that will allow ppppu to escape Flash and the restrictions that entail dealing with it. There are already a couple of tech demos available on the discord server but they are buggy, feature barren, and not something I want to link directly here or talk about on Tumblr at this time. Hopefully I’ll have something good to post here within a few weeks.

Could you please provide the link to the Halloween Edition and Smash edition? I can't find them anywhere?

As for the Smash edition, I can’t find anything relating to it which is making me think you aren’t talking about a Xi mod. but a standalone swf like superWiiU. If that isn’t the case, can you provide me with details about what you remember about the Smash edition?

Just wanna know some general info on this game, since I ran across a version on e621 wanna know more about the operation you're running here. How many versions of this game are there? Who's developing what with it? etc. Thanks.

2 versions that I’m responsible for, Xi and NX. Xi is likely what you’ve seen already and NX is planned to allow for greater customization. There’s also a few other versions such as Gscot’s SuperWiiU and a few others that seem to be slipping my mind. The primary thing being developed are mods and if you want to see who making them then it’s best to visit the discord to get that answer.

been following for a while now but really understand how the new version works. im just used to the girls just popping up and i go from there. now there are load menus and i cant seem to be able to load my old file of character like usual. the posted giude didn't make much since to me but that may be because i skipped a few version before 0.8.2. Could you please explain it?

Okay, so if you don’t want to go in-depth just press space bar when the menus shows. That’s how you enter and exit the edit mode. If you want to delve deeper and customize, you can re-enter edit mode and mess around. For predefined characters (loaded from a swf) you can reset them to undo mistakes. You have the graphics tab: where graphic sets, which are used to change what graphics are used for the character. You can edit graphics on a per-part basis but I recommend sticking with just assigning graphic sets for now. You have color options to change how the characters on screen look. You can also change background graphics.

There’s the Animation Tab, where you can see, create and edit animations. Animations are made of animation shards, which contain movement data for graphics. The compile button creates an animation preview which you can then play and jump to certain frames to make sure everything looks right.

Personally though I wouldn’t mess with these features too much as there are a lot of quality and ease of use issues that need to be solved.

Hey man, I was just wondering, for the game ppppuX, I was just jammin' out to the sound of that Fire Emblem one. Can you tell what that song is called?

From my research it’s the spa theme from FE Awakening and I’m sure it’s straight from the game, not a remix or anything.

I've got version 27 of flash player but ppppu claims I'm running version 16 and won't play shit even after I authorize the entire folder containing ppppu, what the hell?

Something is very wrong there, any Flash version above 11.8 should work. If you are still around, what device are you using and which ppppu version are you using?

Long time without updates, checking to see how its going! I need that Rosalina in my life you know?

Everything is fine, just needed a break to recharge. Hopefully there will be more Rosalina soon (though not directly from me)

When will they integrate new characters?

For NX? When I develop it enough that other mod creators feel comfortable with working with it.

i tried to install the CMC character mod and it doesn't seem to work, is this a common problem? what do you suggest i do? the other mods seem to work alright.

Want to say this isn’t very common. Without the log file it’s tough for me to know why that one mod is failing to work for you. If you are still need help with this, send me an ask with the log from XI log reader or post it on the help channel on the discord.

From the time that this was asked, no. As of May 2018, not anytime soon, have to figure out where I want to go with NX.

Still around

Hello to anyone still around. My apologies for the long silence, I just needed a break from ppppu. To get straight to business, work on ppppu from here on is touch and go as there are other personal projects that I want to prioritize. I will get to answering the asks that have been sitting around within the next few days.

Update about tumblr

It would seem that due to some idiotic changes tumblr has decided to go through, nsfw blogs will not be visible without the user logging in which also means I can’t receive anonymous asks, one of the reasons I created this tumblr in the first place. Hopefully this message isn’t too late for anonymous viewers.

There are a few options I could take to deal with this. One is to send asks through the discord group which can be found on the side bar to the right. Another is use a different blog site, and the last I came up with is to make this a sfw blog, which means removing certain reblogs and removing the first,and possibly last, mod showcase.
