Twin Switch:

Jason is dead.

When he fell down the elevator shaft because of A (Charles) and ended up in the hospital, he disappeared for a long time before anyone could reach him. It was Mrs. D who covered for him and made up lies about where he was.

What if he never survived? What if Charles stole him away from the hospital or found him when he tried to leave town and then finished the job and killed him? With Jason dead and nobody knowing about this death, Charles was free to take over Jason’s life and pretend to be him.

What did he do with Jason’s body? Easy. Part of the plan at the time was having Toby fake his death in the woods to drive Spencer crazy. So Charles used Jason’s body, gave it Toby’s tattoo, and left it in the forest with a helmet on the face for Spencer to find.

Ever since then, Jason has been rude and unfriendly to the girls, verging on scary. He hasn’t been nice to Spencer like he used to be. He acted creepy, and one he had the excuse of being convinced by Spencer, was happy to volunteer the fact that Ali didn’t have an alibi for the night of Mona’s murder.

He hooked up with Ashley Marin with the goal of that conversation happening in court so that it would look like she was getting him to change his story to cover up for Hanna, therefore resulting in more suspicion on the girls and them eventually getting arrested.

Who is “A”?

“Understanding why was more interesting than understanding who. It’s not interesting who ‘A’ is, but why ‘A’ did it.”-Keegan Allen

Translation: Search for the most uninteresting, irrelevant, random character and you’ve probably figured out who “A” is.

The fact that he keeps stressing that “A’s” identity is not interesting is making me nervous. The fun in all of this is figuring out the who. Because if “A” isn’t a character we all know and love, or a character we all love to hate, or hell even a character we’ve come to know in this freaking lifetime, who the hell is gonna care about this persons motive? I don’t need “A” to be someone i like. I couldn’t stand Mona when she was revealed as “A”, but she was so badass that i got with it. She was an interesting character. If this person’s identity isn’t going to shock us to our core, then what the hell is the point of all this build?

But this could also mean that A is just a character we've believed to be obvious as being A, like Melissa/Wren or Jenna. It doesnt necessarily have to mean A will be an uninteresting or irrelevant character. I think Keegan meant it isn't interesting who A is, because the show has made it obvious and the majority of us have already guessed it?
