Hey:) I saw your drawings of the minigryffs and my mind experienced af smaller explosion of inspiration. I'm in the middle of writing a book (hopefully one day) about fantastical creatures and was wondering if i might include your little wonder, if it fits the story. It seems very much your creation and not something everyone could think of, so i wanted to ask. I also have a plot for it in mind:) Uhmn, yearh, that was my question. I really love your art, it gives my imagination a feast!

Hey! This has always been sorta tough to answer. 

Sorry but the short answer is gonna be no :(

Someone else has already asked me in the past if they can use the minigryff idea in their story as well. Their project seemed to be personal (just for fun) so I said it was ok. But if you’re publishing it, it doesn’t seem fair that my idea would be taken for a different project’s profit, plus for the reason of “nobody else has thought of it”. I hope that’s understandable.

just sketches. 1st pic with copics and highlighter, 2nd with sumi ink and a pen i carved out of a bamboo stick lol.

2nd technique is really really fun!! I was just testing it, but got carried away.

Did a speedpaint on iPad. It's hard doing this only using one finger D: And one layer lol. Fun challenge though, I wanna do this all the time now.

Now just to make all my midtones more contrasty all in one go...  I made some color palettes of different contrast edits for myself to study.

Oh yeah! Forgot to mention, did this on the app "Brushes". It's free and has pressure sensitivity (I think...) it's p cool man.

I finally had time to brush up the last remaining small mistakes and stuff in my finals from the last semester (ever!) of my portfolio building class at RISD, and so I can finally upload them all.

They're mock environmental concept art from two stories I'd like to develop further.
