Beery where have you wandered off to now?
WHERE IS MY HOMEWORK!?
finishing it, aaaand there you go.
Finish it during class hours again and I shall reprimand you.
WHERE IS MY HOMEWORK!?
professor-triar:
You have a lousy attitude Ivanova.
Would you like another detention to add to your collection or will you shut up and sit down like a good little girl?
that’s… not really a legit reason for a detention. but i have no time for one, leave alone two detentions. merlin.
Then we have reached an agreement, my office 5 O'Clock sharp. If you're late you will suffer another detention until you learn how to manage your time properly.
All Alright // Beery & Triar
“Ah yeah, Greenhouses are always open for someone that can appreciate what they hold,” Beery said, again rather absently as his attention returned to his work. “So…. None of the students. But I have to let them in.” It killed Beery to let them near his plants, these children that knew nothing of the world or of Herbology. Why should they have and waste such a great pleasure and gift as access to some of the finest and rarest plants in all the world? When they would merely rush to complete an assignment and then complain when it received a grade deserving from the effort exhibited? Beery sighed softly and returned his attention to another shoddily written paper.
"Yeah, I find the students never appreciate what you do for them." Triar drawled out his words as he blew across the top of his steaming mug of tea once. The students were nothing but a constant source of irritation for him. He hated how they only used his class to land themselves in detentions with pathetic little duels out in the corridors. It really ticked him off... He taught them important, valuable life skills and they just threw it away like it was nothing. "Have any more rare killers in the greenhouse like last year?" Triar asked, a hearty laugh passing his lips. He did love the dangerous plants, it gave him a little excitement when he had to help tend to them. Not that they often got to that stage, Beery was good at rearing them carefully.
Tea in the office
Couldn't agree more
All Alright // Beery & Triar
“I know precisely that feeling,” Beery replied, his tone levelling off again as grading was discussed. He nodded his thanks at the cup, wrapping his long fingers around its warmth. “Thank you, thank you. So what do you think of first-years? At least mine have improved…. somewhat.”
“The first years are obedient although I suspect they fear me somewhat.” Triar frowned as he speculated why they might be scared of him but he couldn’t think of any solid reasons. “It’s hard to tell if they’re men or mice,” he grunted, sipping at his tea once more. “At least they have improved for one of us…”
Triar sighed as he watched his fellow Professor start marking his papers. The quill scratching across the parchment made him wince although he didn’t complain. “What have you been growing lately?” He asked for conversations sake.
“They’re still terrible, don’t get me wrong, though,” Beery replied as he sorted the papers by subject and class. He decided to start on the sixth year papers: These were not often the best, but there were always so many missing it was easy enough to do quickly. Beery grew intent on his work, hardly hearing his colleague’s question and taking a moment to respond. “Oh, a great variety of things…” he began replying rather absently, finishing up with one particularly bad Gryffindor paper. Beery rose his eyes and smiled slightly at Triar. “You’re welcome by any time to investigate.”
"You do know I like to investigate things." Triar returned the smile, showing his teeth in a shark like grin. "Ah, I might just do that then." Triar sighed and looked around the room, it was surprisingly quiet, although he wasn't going to complain about that fact. It was nice to be alone with his old friend. It had been too long since they;d spoke properly. He relaxed into his chair and sipped at his tea once more, blowing across the hot liquid in an attempt to cool it down.

“Yeah, thanks,” Beery replied quietly, unable to keep himself from dwelling on the simple word. Soft… I AM NOT SOFT. “Just tea with a bit of cream, if they’ve got it,” he requested, spreading out the papers he had to grade. The sixth and seventh year essays were always the worst… You’d think by now they would have figured out how to write.
Triar pulled out another mug, frowning at the cup slightly. Beery’s tone seemed a little off, but it was probably nothing. He shrugged to himself as he poured the hot water into the mugs, ensuring cream was inn Beery’s. He walked back over to them, looking over the papers spread out in front of him. “I don’t even want to mark mine, I swear they don’t deserve the effort it would take to grade…” He passed Beery his mug before sipping at his own and placing it down beside himself.

Beery stepped into the Lounge, feeling somewhat patronized. Not soft… Right? Surely not. What about him was soft? Admittedly he’d stopped working out… (Who am I kidding, I never worked out, Beery admitted to himself.) He spared a glance around the room and was more than pleased to find it deserted. Ideal, this was. He took his regular seat at the table nearest the fire, his back to it, then turned his eyes to his companion. “Sitting or getting a refreshment first?”
Triar considered sitting down for a moment when he decided it would be better to get the refreshments first, then they would have all the time in chat uninterrupted by a desire to have a cup of tea. “I’m getting a tea, would you like anything?” He asked, unaware of the effect calling Beery soft had on him. He strode up to the counter and grabbed himself a mug before casting a charm over the brass kettle.

Ah, don’t say you missed me? Mind you, you always were a little soft -teasing, but not in an unkind manner while he patted Beery on the back-Â
Soft?
Yes, soft. -he laughs lightly as he opens the door to the lounge-
TRIAR
Well enough, well enough. Heading towards the teacher’s lounge, if you’d care to accompany me.
I could do with some refreshments actually, yes I shall.
It’s been a while since I’ve walked these corridors.
Ah, yes, you’ve been notably absent from breakfast I’ve seen. -as walking towards teachers’ lounge-

I suppose I have yes, what about yourself?

Where’ve you been?
Beery.
I was collecting homework in and I must say, it was all of an appalling standard…
Oh, no need to tell me about that, I’ve my own… -holds up stack of to-be-graded papers- Other than that, though, been alright?

Done and done Professor, it was a pleasure.
Mmm, well I wonder if it’ll be a pleasure to read…
You all disappoint me so much…
I promise you it will exceed your standards…
Urgh.. Arrogant children are a bane of my existence.
