The VVitch :)
First we feel, then we fall. [James Joyce: Finnegan's Wake]
Oriana Sabatini attended the Cannes Film Festival and wore a mermaid green shimmery gown by Sophie Couture AW2025. It's like a second skin...crazy good!
Winnie Harlow wearing Tamara Ralph FW23 Couture at the Cannes Film Festival. This is so intricate! ππ¦and such a nice choice amidst the nude coloured gowns and shimmery dresses.
Rawdah Mohamed attended the Cannes Film Festival in a custom Cheney Chan gown, transforming this look from the SS24 collection into a modest look! She looks like a windswept sea statue... gorgeous!!! This colour looks so good on her, and the glasses give it the extra edge!! Love.
Rawdah Mohamed is a Norwegian-Somali model and activist for human rights including fighting for rights for Muslim women!
Last year she wore Robert Wun's "Scorched Bride" design at the Cannes Film Festival. Also such a great choice!!! She (and her stylist?) know what they are doing!!
Eva Green in Iris van Herpen at Cannes Film Festival.
God, I love Eva Green and here she is wearing one of my faves. She looks like a Tiffany glass/lamp... in the best way possible! Or like the wings of an insect. Either way...love love love!
Hunter Schafer in Kiko Kostadinov SS24 at the Cannes Film Festival. She is there for the press tour of the film "Kinds of Kindness" by Yorgos Lanthimos.
I like her the most when she is wearing some alien like or alien fighting Outfit :D her face oftentimes gives me these vibes with her sleek hair style and minimal makeup, more "I'm ready" than "I'm here being all glamorous and standing still" :D
Also in Armani with their signature shimmery plastic lookalike material....still fascinating how that is made and everything
Yseult, French singer-songwriter and model, in Dior Couture for the Cannes Film Festival.
Again, I'm here for the drama! This ensemble looks absolutely stunning on her!!!
Also check out her COLORS STUDIO performance:
Furiosa: Mad Max Saga Cannes Film festival premiere. Inside:
Perfect shot for Anya Taylor-Joy:)
Cindy Bruna in a two piece grey striped set from Laruicci for the Cannes Film Festival today.
She knows how to poseeee!!! So cool! The dramatic silhouette, the peak of silver, the peek-a-boo skin... gorgeous
Taylor Russel in Loewe' s 2023 anthurium flower tops. Gosh...it's so pretty and the colours are stunning. The look is also conserved in the Met's "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" exhibit.
Last pic by me. :)
What's sad about today's fashion cycle is, is that no one's gonna wear these cool flower tops again as they are last season.......πππ
I love everything about this beauty photoshoot!!!
Go check out these amazing and creative people!

Kendall Jenner for the latest issue of Vogue. I'm not so keen on the other photos but I like the cover - with the water fall it gives a nice effect, the bra is cute and her smouldering look kinda fits :D
But Vogue's insta went a bit over board...until yesterday they had posted eight-ten posts with snippets from the interview and the photoshoot...a bit excessive, imho :D don't know if they always do this but because the rest of the photos weren't that great I felt bored scrolling through them! Well...Kris Jenner works hard, as we all know! And I was surprised that Kendall is still the highest paid model...good for her, just surprised as her shoots are oftentimes the same vibe! But having an audience of nearly 300 million people/follower when she posts about a partnership is a great incentive to book her and is obviously not cheap!
What I am always wondering, not only regarding Jenner, but also other models who get booked for different brands at the same time: Why do brands do that? Oftentimes the target audience is not the same, but having as popular models as Jenner or the Hadids who people identify themselves with, have a personal (negative) opinion about, etc. kind of distracts from the brand identity or in the worst case we have two opposing target audiences and opposing brand identities - how does that work? And as a consumer you only see the same model (with your opinions about them) and not the brand. Is that still true to the identity or the brand image and message they were going for? Isn't that bad campaigning and advertisement? Apparently, it works out fine and does not hurt the brands bottomline, but I am always surprised how many brands book Jenner at the same time...Also it's boring!!
Olivier Rousteing in his own design for the Met Gala: Using the same technique they used on Tyla to mold sand in the form of his face, worn as a clip on corset/top.
Such a bold statement - also, giving his personal history.
Model Ugbad Abdi wearing Prabal Gurung for the Met Gala. This is such a gorgeous look and she looks stunning! And unfortunately, didn't get a lot of coverage!!
For me, this references some of the themes and motifs at the same time: flower (cap), cage/spider web as a layer over reality (the silver cagey corset) what the couple are doing in the story by turning back time, and roots/tree (the gradient from brown to silver). But also just the use of crystals/sequins is a nod to the crystal flowers in the "Garden of Time"-story.
Charlie XCX and Emma Chamberlain leaving the Met Gala.
Charlie XCX wore Marni and a design which used recycled shirts. This is a nod to her personal style as well as to the theme of time effect on clothes and materials as well as the transience of life and life cycles.
And Emma seems to have changed into a shorter and more party appropriate version of her Jean Paul Gaultier look.
