“It looks like you’re struggling.” Arms crossed over his chest and one brow arched, Sanji watched the equine’s form become wedged in the door frame. He tried not to snort at the animal’s plight, but it was amusing. His request for help didn’t go unheard, but he wanted to stand there and smirk for a few seconds more. “You want me to push you from the front or back?”
HE TAKES A FEW MOMENTS TO CONSIDER THIS. He wants to go inside, but obviously the small door wasn’t really permitting him that without some much needed help. And unless there was a secret, larger door that would better suit an animal like him, well, that meant that he would eventually have to leave the same way and probably get stuck again. “ Ya know what-- “ The young stallion pressed himself forwards in some feeble tug before deciding to go with his gut feeling. “ Push me back, just a nudge or something’ll do. “ He’s not that wedged thankfully, and a small shove was probably enough for him to squeeze the rest of himself back the way he came. Jala’s tail swishes irritably. There was a reason why he had tried stepping inside in the first place. “ But I’ll need you to do me a favor? There’s a very slippery river otter who decided to get in here, that’s the reason I’m here in the first place. After you help me out, if you can find him and--GRAB HIM, WITHOUT HURTING HIM PLEASE, that’d be great. “

idk if you're into mlp or anything, but the fact that Jala is a horse who lives by the sea reminded me very much of the original sea ponies from the series?

he’s seen some shit before in his life, which is something you just kinda sign up for if you’re actually living on the road and all but this — this is new. it wasn’t even the content of the cart that got his attention, but the protesting equine connected to it instead, who clearly seemed to be in a quite unfortunate situation here. is that horse all by itself? no human to guide it? ❝ uh — w-wait, hang on a sec! ❞ great, he’s talking back to a horse now. the fact that the creature is even capable of talking in the first place, not quite questioned by the chestnut. ( yeah, he’s seen some wild things before. )
now, he’s tumbling his way down to attempt and free, both the cart and the equine stuck on it. good thing he always has a pocket knife on him at least. ❝ hold still — ❞ he’d start cutting down all those vines that were probably in the way here, before even attempting to get the equine back onto it’s feet — or hoofs in that case.
“ WATCH WHERE YOU’RE WAVIN’ THAT THING--” His forelegs rear UP, but the vines tangling them pull down and he ends up falling face first into the mess of flora. The shock vibrating through his skull and chest does stun him for a few moments, and in that time he finally acknowledges how big of a knot he’s in. The traces of his cart tack were tangled and overlapping one another, and the vines had managed to hook themselves in and around his girth and collar. Getting up at this point was nearto impossible, as he soon finds out when he tries to writhe out of his tack. The cart keels over just enough for some of his wares to spill into the grass. Oh, what a nightmare. He slowly exhales then, swallowing down the bile he swore was accumulating in his throat. “ I’m going to be in SO much trouble for this. “
“ YA KNOW WHAT’S THE WORST? Wakin up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat for no good reason. “

Truly she wanted to listen to him. Instinct told her, the unstoppable child, to keep her distance from those woods. One step towards it and her mind screams at her to take five steps back, this is no place for small things, no matter how lucky and clever.
But that was why she was drawn to it, there was a mystery in those woods that beckoned for her to come in. She was charmed! Enchanted! The sheer need to warn her and tell her “not to go in” only pushed her closer and closer to temptation. This battle of go in and go away had her standing stagnant and staring, watching for something, anything, to give her a hint of what was in those woods. If there was nothing, it was nothing to her. For longer than comfortable, Little My was still and silent…
Until she caught movement. It vanished before she was able to lock onto it, but she swore she spotted something like a flowing fabric.”Jala! Jala did you see that? Look look!” she hopped, easing her way towards the trees.
Clearly his sense of timidness AWARENESS was what made him hesitate to follow her. Jala has a sense of adventure but it limits itself to the forest edge; there are plenty of monsters out there. He had stunted his temptation to explore its thick underbrush and vast canopy since he’s moved here. “ My--NO! “ Jala nearly curses under his hoarse breath, hoof reaching out in some futile attempt to corral her back close to him. He hadn’t seen anything MOVING, but then again, he hadn’t been looking at the forest at all, he was just about to turn back towards the village. He whimpers, and his ears fall against his skull in displeasure. Should he go in after her? Yes, but he doesn’t want to. The young stallion gives a glance back towards his village--towards SAFETY--before unwillingly pursuing her. The brush was thick and mangled. He had to push himself through vines and ferns to get to her. “ OW--ow. My--darn it, My! Where are you? “
“You have to run. They’re looking for you.”
