“I will not get in the way of a mother’s worry.” He held his hands up in surrender knowing not to mess with his wife while she worried. “You really do, but you make a lot of good things.” He reminded her or at least the nights she cooked he enjoyed the food she usually made for them.

“That’s probably for the best,” she said with a small laugh and a shrug. “Don’t want you to have to deal with a worried mother,” she said, kissing his cheek. She looked at him and smiled. “Thank you, my love,” she said. “I like cooking,” She shrugged. It was something that she had found out in the past few months, that she did like to cook and make their own dinners and things.

“Very true.” He kissed his wife back as he rolled his eyes. “Jimmy won’t drop the princess he knows better.” He told his wife as he nodded his head. “Me too.” He reached into the basket and pulled out their sandwiches as he began to take a bite of his after he handed his wife hers kissing her cheek.

Celia nodded her head after a moment. “I know, but I worry, it’s what mom’s do, “She said with a shrug. She bit her lip and let him pull their sandwiches out of the basket and then handed it to her, she smiled and took a bite of it. “I make good sandwiches,” She said with a laugh.

“Hell is a good spot for him at least he listened to me when I told him to go there.” Nate said as he attempted to joke and lighten the situation himself. “Sounds good to me.” He waved over jimmy as he handed the baby over to him. “Bring her up to the nurse attendants tell them to put her down.” Nate told him as he smiled down at his wife. “At least we get some time alone together.”

Celia laughed softly and nodded her head. “That’s the only thing that he could ever do right,” she said with a shrug. She leaned over and kissed him gently as he waved Jimmy over. “Be careful, She said, worriedly as Jimmy took the baby, even though he was being careful. She looked at Nate as Jimmy took the baby away and smiled, nodding her head. “I’m glad for that,” she said honestly, biting her lip.

“Welcome baby.” Nate looked down at his wife. “I hope he was dropped hard then.” He said laughing softly shaking his head. “Well let me make it a bit better.” He lifted her chin as he leaned down and kissed his wife sweetly for a few moments and pulled back seeing Cora had fallen asleep against her mother. “Maybe we should call the nurses to go lay her into her crib for a little while.” Nate suggested.

Celia smiled up at him and then laughed and nodded her head. “Me too. But regardless he’s in hell now,” She said. She firmly believed that that was where he was. She smiled and kissed him back, biting her lip when she saw that Cora was asleep in her arms. “That’s probably a good idea,” She agreed. “Then we can eat our sandwiches?”

“Good, I don’t want you to be stuck here all the time like I am love.” Nate never wanted her to seem like she was imprisoned in the palace like he was. “I know its not love, just there will always be a part of me that is guilty, because it was my blood. Because I didn’t get you out of there faster and for the fact that you are still suffering.” Nate kissed her cheek as he looked down at her. “If you are sure.”

Celia smiled and kissed his cheek. “Thank you, my love,” She said. In a way, it helped, after being imprisoned here for eight months, knowing that she could leave on whim made her feel safe. “I don’t know about that,” she said. “I’m sure he was dropped on the doorstep, there’s no way that you share the same blood, she said, trying to joke and make light of the situation, because she was tired of letting it define her for so long. “You make it better,” she told him, honestly. “I am sure.”

“It might be good for you to get out a bit, you can go to the markets afterwards if you want, with Oliver and Jimmy of course.” He’d put his best man on the job but he knew the boys could give her some freedom. “I know but I still don’t like to upset my wife.” Nate admitted as he rubbed her back. “You will get better love, you don’t need me triggering you off however.” Nate smiled when his wife said those three words back. “It never gets old hearing you say that.”

Celia nodded her head. “I would like that,” She said, kissing his cheek. She knew that she couldn’t go out alone anymore, and after what had happened... she didn’t want to ever be truly alone on the streets ever again. She smiled faintly and nodded her head. “I know that you don’t, my love. And it’s not really you who’s upsetting me. It’s him,” she said. She still couldn’t bear to say his name, or refer to him, and she hated herself for being so weak. “I know,” She agreed. “It truly doesn’t,” she said.

“How about the palace sets up a few meet-and-greets for you?” Nate offered figuring it’d give her some time out of the palace and they’d figure it all out. When she mentioned what he had said he sighed and moved over wrapping his arms around his wife. “I am truly sorry love, I didn’t mean too. I guess me saying his name is my way of coping with it. I will try better to remember to not utter his name around you.” Nate reassured her because he really didn’t want to trigger her he just kissed his wives cheek as he whispered into her ear. “I love you so much, my strong brave love.”

“I would like that,” she said, nodding her head. “It would be nice to do something like that,” she told him. When he sighed, she didn’t mean to make him feel bad, that was not her intention, she knew that he wasn’t doing it to hurt her. It’s okay,” she said as he wrapped his arms around her. She closed her eyes and then smiled for a moment. “Really...you shouldn’t have to feel bad,” she told him. “I need to learn to get better,” she said. She closed her eyes as he kissed her cheek and whispered into her ear. “I love you too, she whispered back. “So, so much.”

Nate saw his wives demeanor change. “Hey, whats wrong?” Nate questioned a bit confused not really sure what he had done, but he sensed it was something.

Celia nodded her head. “I want to do it,” she said, looking up at him. “I would like to see the people that we’re helping, you know? That would make it more... real. Right now it’s like we’re just...signing papers and sending them, if we meet them then it becomes real.” She bit her lip. She had been doing much better lately, dealing with the trauma but it was still there. “Nothing...just...you mentioned him,” she whispered softly. “I just...I’m still not...one hundred percent okay.”

Nate kissed Celia back softly. “I don’t either.” He saw her brighten up as he nodded his head. “Before we tell parliament I think it’d be smart if the public saw a bit more of you, maybe some charity work put on an appearance on behalf of the crown. A few openings or something, a little work outside of the castle. Remind the people that I want a commoner as Queen, it will do two things make me seem less like my uncle, and also put you in the eye of the public. Parliament will come around yes, eventually.”

Celia smiled at him and giggled. “Good, i’m glad that you don’t,” she said. She ran her hand through her hair and nodded her head as he said that it would be smart if the public saw more of her. “We can do that,” she said. “I’ll do whatever you want,” she said with a shrug. She didn’t mind making public apperances, especially if they would help people to like her. At the mention of his uncle, something dark passed through her eyes and she just nodded. “Then let’s do it,” she said, with a small shrug. “Do it until Parliament gets a clue.”

Nate couldn’t help but smirk a bit proudly at his wives words. “Good thing because you are stuck with all of me until well forever.” He teased as he looked down at his girls. “You bring it out in me I swear. You know I found something in my box today it was a poll on how the people find you. They seem pretty receptive of the idea of you becoming their queen. It might win us favor in parliament.”

Celia looked at him and shook her head slightly. “I don’t mind being stuck with you,” she said with a laugh, leaning over and kissing him gently. She bit her lip and smirked. “I know that I do,” she teased, kissing Cora’s head. At his words, she started to feel hopeful, like this was all going to really work out. “Really?” She asked, a smile on her lips. “If it’s what the people want than Parliament should be happy with it,” She mused.

If so please do make sure I am well endowed.” He teased her just to hear his wives laughter.

Celia looked at him and nodded her head. “I am too,” she said, biting her lip. “Very glad about that,” she said. She kissed him back and giggled against his lips, shaking her head. “I don’t draw you all he time, and don’t worry I will always make you look well endowed,” she said, kissing his cheek. She leaned down and picked her daughter up and kissed her head. “Your daddy is very silly,” She said, grinning at him.

She kissed her husband back passionately and wrapped her arms around him for a moment. “Much, much better,” she said. She smiled. “I’m glad, you two are my favorite things to draw,” she shrugged.

“I sure do hope so, as much as I want to see what her personality will be, I quite enjoy the girl who looks at me with nothing but love and just wants cuddles.” Nate admitted he knew one day he’d watch his daughter grow but for right now he was content with Corinne being this small. “I see that now, I like it.” Nate kissed his wives cheek and shook his head. “Absolutely not, especially since I was going to ask if I can have it and I will frame it and put it in my office.” Nate told her honestly.

Celia nodded her head and smiled. “I can’t wait to see what she’s like when she’s older, but I can also wait,” she admitted. “I don’t want our baby girl to grow up so fast,” she said, shaking her head. “I just love her cuddles and her smiles,” She said, smiling. Celia was very happy with things being the way that they were right now. .She smiled as he kissed her cheek. “I’m still a bit offended,” she teased. “But you can absolutely have it ot hang up in your office,” she said, kissing his cheek.

Nate didn’t mind comforting his daughter, he hadn’t meant to upset her in the first place. “I know it’s kind of crazy how little she is, I mean she is definitely a little bigger than when you gave birth to her, but she’s still so tiny I love it though.” He didn’t want his daughter to grow up at times, most of him wanted her to stay this little the little girl who needed her daddy. “Sure.” Nate moved to rest his head on her shoulder as he looked down at the sketch pad and smiled a bit wider looking up at his wife. “That’s me and Cora huh? I like it, can I just say I didn’t think you were this good at drawing?”

Celia smiled at him and ran her hand through her hair. She bit her lip and looked at him for a moment. “I know,” she said. “Our girl is our baby girl, and she’s going to stay that way for a long time,” she said. Celia didn’t want her daughter to grow up, she wanted her to stay little for as long as possible. Of course, she knew that that wasn’t possible, but she could wish. She smiled as he came over and rested his head on her shoulder as she showed him the sketch pad. “I told you I was sketching two of my favorite things,” she said with a grin. She shot him a look. “Should I be offended?” She teased.

“Oh really? That’s nice love I am sure its a good drawing then.” Nate told his wife he never really looked through her drawings he let her have that as her own little private thing. As his daughter cried he picked her up and laid her on his chest rubbing her tiny back. “Woops, either that or the fishing moving might have scared her.” Nate soothed their daughter. “Guess I don’t have a fisher-girl after all.” He teased as he moved over next to his wife and just cuddled his daughter for a little bit now as he got her to quiet down.

Celia smiled and nodded her head. “Yeah, probably,” she agreed, biting her lip. She was enjoying her drawing, and while Nate didn’t usually see them, she was definitely going to show him this one. She bit her lip and nodded her head in agreement as he said it could have been the moving fish. “That’s true too,” she said, glad that he had it handled as he soothed their daughter. “She is little still,” she pointed out with a shrug. She ran her hand through her hair and watched her as she finished her drawing. “Do you want to look?” She offered with a smirk.
