Consider this; There's no other easy way to get this out. I loathe myself for doing this, but I feel pretty earnest about the subject. In case you missed it; Brad Lewis, Tim Delaney and I have been working on a new record for almost 3 years now. In 2015 we decided to release it one song per month, for the entire year. I'm proud to say we're going to finish strong. Last night's session for December's track was a real kick and we're all pretty happy to be so close to finishing, what turned out to be a really challenging and often fun project. We've labored under the constant mantra that it "only matters to us." We've stopped to examine every motive behind every move. We've sought to extinguish the negative voice and the hopeful voice to make way for the true voice. To be as objective and self-effacing as one can be within the confines of an intense long-term creative project like this. Entirely self-funded and completely free of sponsorship, we have created the absolute, very best music we can make. I firmly believe that. NOW, that said: I am not deluded - I know there's gonna be friends and loved ones en masse for whom this music holds no appeal what-so-ever. I am totally at peace with that. After all, you live by the sword, etc. As we all ramp into the dervish of Holiday ritual and rush, I hope to encourage you to find a few moments to check out, and maybe enjoy some of these songs we've made.
