“Every habit produces multiple outcomes across time. Unfortunately, these outcomes are often misaligned. With our bad habits, the immediate outcome usually feels good, but the ultimate outcome feels bad. With good habits, it is the reverse: the immediate outcome is unenjoyable, but the ultimate outcome feels good. […] The road less traveled is the road of delayed gratification. If you’re willing to wait for the rewards, you’ll face less competition and often get a bigger payoff. As the saying goes, the last mile is always the least crowded.”
— James Clear, Atomic Habits
Ghuraba...sometimes you will feel like a complete stranger in this world. Not just physically but spiritually too. Your heart won't be able to find true solace, your soul won't be able to find actual tranquility and your existence wants to be somewhere lofty. This empty void in your heart will continue to grow unless you start treating it...now the treatment is simple...Allah! Come to Allah, show submission to Him, surrender to Him - no questions and no doubts, just simply what Ibrahim AS said: "I submit to the Lord of the worlds." This is when you will find peace, this is when you will truly start seeing and hearing! Everything in your life will be seen from and different angle: a beautiful perspective. Even in the darkest of nights will you be able to see that one sparkling star placed to guide you! When I think of this I love the feeling of feeling strange in this world, because we were never created for it, the world was created for us. We were created for jannah...the home of peace is there.
So keep travelling, O stranger for a wise person does not take the bridge as a home. Keep travelling because once you find jannah in this world (submitting to Allah) then inshaa Allah you have secured it for the next world!
