now I know literally nothing about the mcu, I have watched like 1 movie (does spiderverse count??) but I always did like Loki’s vibes. and I am NOT the kind of man to turn down babying a scrawny dude with eyebags and long hair (glances at my favorite oc)

Yeahh you’re right!! Shadmilks a realll big cuddler he loves cuddling so much ! He’s very sleepy very often when small so big nice cuddles are always a go to for him :3 sometims hell even shapeshift real big n hug nilla like a nice teddy bear (gently, of course!) I don’t think he’d like crafting very much with him though,, that’s more of a him only activity ! He’s very particular about his work yunno, he has to focus really hard on it, small or not ! I do imagine him liking to read with him though, and being read to,, especially when sleepuy :pp

hello!!! Sorry iv been taking a little moment to anseewr stuffs hehw yes!! pv is currently the only one who knows,,, like insaids I don’t think smc would really know about it at first, so he wouldn’t be able to tell anyone any way (not thay he would even want to even if he did) but idk !! Pv always there, during this like. I guess “redemption au” setting I have going on where pv really is the only one smc has left,, jus the idea that his other half is always there to watch after him n stuff, he’d eventually take notice of some things and would essentially be the only one there for him ! i dreww a littl something for you kind of introducing how I think pv would find out about it?? Kind of?? In other words he walks in on a little crash out and then so on and so forth smc becomes more vulnerable from then on with pv and blahg blah blah (click for btter quality!!)

Shadow Milk didn't sleep often. Usually, this was because he insisted he didn't need it. But by now, you'd come to learn...it was also because of the night terrors he had.

He'd been resting in back with you tonight, and had woken you when he sat bolt upright with a strangled gasp. He was panting, his eyes wide and unfocused as he clutched his neck.

"Shadow Milk...?" you said, quickly blinking the sleep out of your eyes and sitting up. "Are you alright?"

He stiffened, eyes in his hair snapping towards you...and he turned to look at you, a fake smile on his face. "Just perfect! All good! Go back to sleep," he said, grabbing your shoulders and nudging you back down.

You shook your head, sitting back up and sliding closer to him. "Was it a nightmare?" you asked gently, brushing your fingers lightly against his shoulder.

He was silent for a few moments...before leaning against you with a sigh. "...yeah, it was," he admitted reluctantly.

"Do you want to talk about it?" you asked, wrapping an arm around him and giving him a partial hug.

"I...it was..." He paused for several long seconds. "...harsh critics heckling my scripts," he said, lips twitching upwards into a shaky, unsteady grin. "With terrible, terrible opinions!"

"Was it really?" you asked, rubbing his back.

He shrugged. "Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't!"

"...you don't have to tell me if you don't want to talk about it, you know," you said. You leaned closer, enveloping him in a full hug.

He slowly leaned into you with a sigh. "...I'd rather leave all of that be for now, frankly," he said. "Don't let me keep you awake, little star...you need your rest."

"You should sleep, too," you responded.

He let out a dry laugh, shaking his head. "Don't think that's going to be happening anytime soon, dear muse." It was true...you could still feel him shaking, his heart pounding.

"Well...I could try a few things that might help you relax, if you'd like," you offered.

"...well, if you insist," he said. Still, he was reluctant to let you go...fortunately you were able to grab what you needed quickly. Namely, a few specific flowers you had on hand, which you held in a bundle as you returned to him.

You lifted the bundle, waving it and spreading the aroma of lavender and jasmine through the room. It only took about a minute, and you set the bundle aside carefully, sitting beside Shadow Milk again.

The two of you laid down, and he quickly curled up beside you, head resting on your chest and arms (and strands of hair) coiling around you. You wrapped your arms around him, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath.

He was still so stiff in your arms...but you had one more thing you could try. You began to softly sing to him, a song you hoped would be a soothing lullaby.

"...thank you," he mumbled quietly. By now his trembling had stopped, and his heartbeat had slowed into a steady rhythm. You rubbed slow circles on his back...he sighed, body slowly falling limp as he sagged against you.
