@lucayafever23 Apparently that Riarkle scene was powerful enough to raise some of us from the dead lol. I really have been gone for far too long. Who would’ve thought being an art major would be this time consuming and both physically and emotionally draining. I’m currently working on a self-portrait for part of my drawing final. Pray for me.

Deleted scene: The bear hug that almost was

Lucas and Riley are sitting at the bay window after their movie date. Lucas asks Riley if she knew what the movie was even about. She admits that she has no clue and they both laugh. Then Lucas brings up the bear and Riley says she's okay and that sometimes life tells you when it's time to let something go to make room for something new. Riley then hugs Lucas like she used to hug her bear and he makes this "wah-ah" sound imitating the bear. Then we see Cory at Riley's door and he wags his finger and says "nah-ah." Lucas rushes out the window like old times and Riley and Cory smile at each other.

Quick question: The kids and change

When Zay was reunited with his best friend what he found was a changed man. Lucas was now good, doing well in school, and nowhere in danger of getting kicked out. He questioned it a bit at first, but he accepted that Lucas didn't want to be the same guy he was in Texas. He embraced the change. When Farkle had his identity Lucas had a heart-to-heart conversation with him. He basically told him that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the person he was, but he agreed to let him experiment and allowed him the chance to grow and change. When Maya finally embraced hope, started bettering herself, and began to let herself want good things to happen, what did Riley do? She change her back. She ripped her growth to shreds. Now what about Riley and change? Well because of the Riley committee, which Maya created and runs, she's never been allowed to grow, change, and even see the world for what it really is. Why have the boys allowed each other to grow and change and not the girls?

Making my best guy friend watch GMW

I made him watch BMW first and he absolutely LOVED it. Quotes it all the time. So I made him watch GMW. He has complained about pretty much every episode so far. I knew he wouldn’t like it, but I wanted a 100% unbiased perspective. So yes I used him as part of an experiment, but oh well he should know better than to have a girl as a best friend lol. He is currently watching Ski Lodge and I’m dying. He thinks Lucas is going to choose Maya. Should I ruin it for him? lol Him: Honestly it makes too much sense if Maya and Lucas got together and Riley and Farkle were a thing.

Girl Meets GLONY & Bear

I was just thinking about the few tapings I’ve been to and something struck me as odd. Lucaya and Riarkle were adorable as usual in GLONY so clearly I’m not here to talk about them. What I do want to talk about is how Rucas was hardly detectable in this episode (except for that one cringe worthy moment that I’d rather not talk/think about because it was unnecessary and seemed way out of place at the time). This was before we learned about the outcome in ski lodge so the fact that you couldn’t tell if Lucas had made a decision yet doesn’t look too good for Lucas and Riley’s relationship. We know that Lucas “chose” Riley in SL2, but why couldn’t we tell Riley and Lucas were already a couple in this episode?

The next taping I went to was Bear and Rucas was like bam in your face. We now know that this episode, although filmed after GLONY, airs first. This tells us that Rucas starts off pretty strong, if you ship them that is. For those of us who don’t necessarily ship them and can see them without the rose-colored glasses you can already see some red flags. (There’s even red flags in the episode before this, sassy halter top, but I don’t know enough about that episode to talk about it as if I did.) Point being, they push Rucas on you pretty hard at first, but then what? How do these two kids go from starry-eyed fools to being so subtle that no one really picked up that they were a couple in a later episode?

Now I guess you could say that they don’t want their relationship to overpower the show, since it’s supposed to be all about friendship, but these are the people who brought us Boy Meets World. They gave us Corpanga, one of the most iconic couples in tv history, but they never let that relationship trump the ultimate friendship between Cory and Shawn. So why would they even worry about that if Riley and Maya’s friendship is just as strong? Answer: They wouldn’t.

Perhaps Riley and Lucas are simply fizzling out? I mean, it makes sense. This is only their first relationship after all. Sure they’re cute, but there’s no depth in their relationship. There really never has been. They both went into the relationship because they liked a small part of each other. What do I mean by that? Well…

Lucas likes Riley’s sweetness and goofiness. Is that all there is to Riley? Nope. What happened when she wasn’t being sweet and goofy? Lucas said she was too much for him and walked away leaving her in tears. Now what does Riley like about Lucas? She likes the good guy, veterinarian, prince charming Lucas. When Maya wants to find out more about Lucas, Riley begs her not to tell her if she finds out anything bad about him. She doesn’t want anything to ruin the perfect image of him she’s built up in her mind. She refuses to accept that there might be more to him that will change the way she feels about him.

Does this mean that they fell in love with a concept then? Were they doomed from the start? Is it possible that they are already over? I guess we’ll find out if we get another season. But as of where they are towards the end of season 3 it doesn’t look too good for them.

Anyway, this is what was running through my brain at the moment. I mainly wrote this because I’m bored waiting for Michael Phelps to swim and had some time to kill lol
