He laughed. “I mean building a fort is also nice. Bet I can make a better fort than you.” he said laughing. “Also it’s okay if you do, something tells me I’ll also be extremely afraid so I might need you too.” he said. He waited on her to unlock the door and walked inside. “Nah it’s okay. Oh so you’re living alone now? That sucks.”

“Are you trying to fight me?” The girl asked with a big smile. It was cute that he was trying to be so friendly and everything with her. “Cuddling during movies really isn't bad. I love being able to be close to someone during movies like that.” The smaller girl nodded when she made her way inside. “Yeah its pretty stupid. I hate being by myself.”

“OOH you’ve upgraded to a fireplace? That’s awesome. We’ll definitely have to use it.” he said smiling. “Yes. Scary movies. You can totally hold onto me if you get scared. I’ll protect you.” he said laughing. “Hey its no problem. You’re my best friend. I’ll always hang out wiht you. Now its you who I need to thank for hanging out with me.”

“I did and its really nice actually! Like I normally just make a big fort of blankets and sleep down there before letting it out, its amazing! You should already know im going to be hiding on you the whole time.” With a shake of her head, Tay let out a laugh. “You are the cool one, not me.” Once she got to the house she unlocked it and smiled before letting him in. “Sorry its a bit packed up at the moment. My roommate moved out, so im trying to get all of her stuff out.”

“Eh. I’m just dealing. I also know that when we get to your house it’ll be warmer so it’s okay.” he said nodding. “Cookies, alcohol and movies sound awesome. Just please don’t make me watch something super girly and boring. Not that I think you would but if you wanted to torture me…” he said giving her a small side eye with a smile.

“My house is a whole lot warmer. its nice and toasty in there. Especially with the fire place.” Thinking about it all, she was excited for him to come hang out with her. “Girl movies are my thing. I think we can agree on a scary movie though right? Scary movies are pretty awesome.” After a few minutes they were on the home stretch pretty much. “Thank you for hanging out with me tonight. Im sure the boys are wondering where you are?”

“Oh yeah I’m definitely okay with that. I just didn’t wanna keep walking and you had drove or something.” he said smiling a little bit. He suddenly put his arm around her. “You still looked super cold. Thought my arm could do something.” he said shrugging and patting her arm with a smile on his face. “Any plans for tonight besides Mario Kart?”

The smaller girl nodded as they walked. But the second his arms went around her she felt a small smile on her lips. “Thank you for that. For November its pretty dang cold out here, I have no idea how you are dealing with it.” There were so many things to do around where they were, and even at her apartment but she wasnt too sure. “I mean I have alcohol. We can cook some mean ass cookies! Maybe watch some movies? Its up to you!”

“Did you drive or did you want to walk to your place?” he asked her. As he looked over at her he internally wished that this could happen all the time. Her in his jacket, talking and walking alone. Just being together basically. 

“I just walked down here for the concert since it was right down the road. We dont really have that far to walk, if you are okay with that?” Her converse patted on the ground as she walked. This was what she needed, just time with Dan. But at the same time she knew how wrong it was and how she shouldnt be doing it. He could do better.

“But Luigi is the coolest.” he said frowning but then smiling a bit not too long after. He then started to take his jacket off before handing it over to her. “Hey we’re friends. Friends dont let friends be cold okay.” he said smiling. “Wear it. Its super warm. I’ll be fine. Promise.”

A small smile moved towards her lips. Of course she would let him be Luigi, he was always Luigi. Taking his jacket she slowly move it up her arms and cuddled into the warmth as she walked. Friends Tay, just friends. Of course he would say that. Maybe it was meant to be that way though. He had Syd, he needed someone to make him happy and Tay couldnt provide that.

Dan still had a smile on his face as he looked over at her. “Yeah right. You better not pick Luigi either, he’s mine.” he said laughing. “Also if you get cold let me know, it’s a bit chilly out here.” he said to her. All he really wanted to was to see her in his jacket…or anything of his really. It warmed his heart.

“Dont tell me what to do, cause I can be whoever I want to be you meanie!” Tay stuck her tongue out at him. The girl was getting a bit cold, if she was being honest. And the idea of wearing Dan’s jacket made her feel a bit better about the situation. “I mean if you dont mind. I dont want to take your jacket from you though, cause you might get cold..” Hands going into her pockets as her dark eyes looked down.

“Yeah I mean she might but we’re talking about our babies not mine and hers.” he said laughing a little uncomfortably. “Psh. Yeah right!”

As they walked the girl nodded letting out a small breath. He was right though. They were talking about them and she brought her up. Mostly because Tay wished that she was her. She wouldnt mind having Dan, he was what she wanted. “Yeah but still! ANd you just wait. Mario ass kicking here you come.”

“Can’t wait to hear some of the new music to be honest.” he said looking at her. “It’s been way too long since you’e guys put anything out.” he said

“Oooh look at you!” he said laughing. “Maybe one day.” he said smiling at her. “So I’m definitely playing Call of Duty and Mario. Just so you know.”

It had been awhile for her band with making music and she couldnt wait to see what their end product was. Hopefully Dan would like it as much as she was starting to already. “I cant wait for you to hear it. I have some snippits on my phone I will let you listen to.” 

When he said what he did the girl turned a blood red, of course he would say something like that. “Yeah yeah yeah. That is what your girlfriend is for Dan. She might want your babies!” Wagging her finger at him she smirked. “Ill kick you ass at Mario.”

“I’m alright with that. You have a long day?” he asked before sitting up off of the bus so that they could head to her place. Dan too thinks that nothing will happen but he doesn’t know anymore.

He laughed at her comment and shook his head. “We would totally make some cute as fuck kids. You just gotta let me  put them in ya first.” he siad laughing as if it was a joke. Well it was a joke but you know, sexual tension and all that. “What kind of games you got?”

“We have been working on some new songs so yeah its been somewhat of a long day. But it wasnt too bad. I wanted to come and see you so it made it a little bit better.” Running her fingers through her hair she walked and talked to him at the same time. 

It was true though, they would make cute kids. “I am totally not knocking that down. You could put kids in my any day! any time.” Tay stuck her tongue out. Thinking about what she had she shrugged. “Racing stuff like Need for speed, mario, grand theft auto, call of duty, things like that?”

“We can just go back to your place and play video games. That sounds dope.” he said smiling. In his head he thought about what he had done and he just wasn’t sure if he made the right decision, but the decision was made and he had to live with it. He was also definitely okay with it.

“I mean I noticed a little but I was also focusing on impressing the crowd you know.” he said before bursting with laughter. “Keep looking the way you do, I’ll definitely let you have my kids.”

“I am cool with that decision. Not to mention my house is pretty comfortable right about now, my bed might be calling my name. So we might end up throwing the games onto the tv in my room so I can lay down.” Tay wasnt too worried. She knew he was tied to Sydney and nothing was gong to change that. 

“Well you kicked some ass. Even if your guitar messed up.” She muttered leaning over to kiss his cheek. “I would totally have your kids. Lets be real. We would make cute as fuck kids!” Grabbing her phone she held her hand out for him as she made the way to her house.

“That’s probably super sweaty but whatever floats your boat.” he said laughing as he jestered towards the bus. “Wanna go in or do you wanna go for a walk?” he asked. He just really wanted to be alone with her and both were tempting choices for him.

“Thank you. Played probably harder than I ever have before.” he said. “Oh really, did they include you?”

She didnt care that it was sweaty, it was Dan’s and that was all that mattered. But when he asked what she wanted to do, she shrugged. “I say we go for a walk, then we can go in if you want? Or we can go back to my house and play video games?” She asked. Alone time with Dan was always nice. She liked being able to talk to him, tell him how she felt. 

“Well you did amazing and im super proud of my little guitarist.” When she looked down she let out a small laugh. “I was totally swooning. Did you not notice? I was all about that please take me and let me have your kids Dan Clermont club.”

“Yeah he’s been a little down lately and just wanted to have fun and he had a little too much fun.” he said as he laughed a little. “You’re right they deserve each other.” he said.

Finally he went out on stage and did his thing.

Then ya know after his set, he immediately went to the back to grab a water. He talked to the guys a little bit before going off to find Tay. He sent her a text to meet him out back by the bus. He knew the other guys would stay inside talking to the promoter and the other bands before tearing their set down. He leaned up against the bus and waited on her.

Dan was super tired because he definitely played a little bit harder knowing that Tay was in the crowd.

Dancing around to the sets that they boys were playing, Tay couldnt help but smile about the whole thing. Dan did perfectly, but she always knew that he was a talented guitarist. He had so much energy, something she wished that she had. 

When she heard her phone go off, she looked down and smiled at what the boy said. Getting off her feet she made her way back to the bus. Kicking some rocks she made her way over to him and grabbed the hat that was on his head and put it on hers. “Well look at how cute you are today. You kicked some ass out there Clermont. I wish that I was as good as you. You had all those girls swooning.”
