I was sobbing the other day on the stairs because I was so overwhelmed with the situation with them and they didn’t give a single fuck 🥀 (they were the people who helped me when I was cutting kinda badly)

Everything I read about recovering from burnout is like “it takes months or even years to fully recover” and it’s like okay…. I have a weekend before I gotta clock in on Monday

It feels like I’ve split myself up into different parts because otherwise I wouldn’t get anything done. They’re almost…characters of sorts? Personas? They each have a certain personality to them…but they’re all me. They all remember the same things. We can all do the same things, but they just help me in different ways when I’m struggling or they are me sometimes. In response to situations I will change my personality and reactions, and in turn that changes which one of them I “am” at the moment. I would assume this is because I generally have a high functioning brain that has to be doing something at all moments, so this is a way that that manifests. It doesn’t impair me at all, but it’s odd having the very thing keeping me alive also tell me that I’m a horrendous, unforgivable human being who should kill themselves.

Like. Right now, there’s a new one. Zinnia, and I know it’s in response to the new emotion I felt when I thought too much about seventh grade and how those same people feel about me now. Xe aren’t like…..a new person. It’s still me, just…..with a different default personality. They feel like a different version of me, almost. They all do. They’re all separate but….the same. They exist to help me cope but also because I think my brain would run around in circles without them. I tend to get bored very fast, and, as a result, my mind goes places that I would never want it to go. I think they counteract that. They’re all me, if I was someone else.
