as someone who wanted to double major in history & mythology you’d think bellamy’s reasoning would be less… shallow but, it wasn’t. but to be fair it was a lot harder to enjoy a book when you hated the fucking protagonist.

he can’t help the puzzled expression as the man’s words process through his mind. he’d been expecting something...more ---------just more. the corners of his mouth twitch up into a smile, people always surprised him. his brother hal would say it’s because he was always thinking WAY too much, and then call him a dork. ❛ aren’t all heroes a little pompous though? they’re all cover boys for being irritatingly grand and self important. I think that’s why I tend to enjoy the anti-heroes, those with greatness thrust upon them. & not the dark modern version either. like early spiderman or scooby and shaggy. ❜

usually he doesn’t have patience for kids staying late at the library being in his way when he’s trying to clean. but he wasn’t have the worst day so when the boy with his head in a book & ear buds in his ears doesn’t notice bellamy, the older male nudges him with his foot instead of pushing past.
