Exploring Bruxelles
Brussels, photos 1,3, and 4 are from La Grande Place
Explored Brussels by myself for 3 days
Exploring the abandoned Weißsense Kinder Krankenhaus (children’s hospital) opened in 1907 and once one of the Ed children’s hospitals in the world. The place is falling down and one amateur photographer fell 3 stories through a roof. Cities that have seen war and genocide give an even darker level to urban exploring. The place is scrawled with nazi graffiti and the AntiFa responses
Museum of Surrealism in Charlottenburg. I've never been in a museum with such sensitive alarms, the guards just followed mia and I around the whole time yelling at us to stand back
Berlin Botanical Gardens, the second largest in the world
Lietzensee Park on damaged film. Lens colored, soaked in Somberby’s blackberry cider and curry powder and put in the freezer overnight. 2017
Spent the weekend at Melt festival in Ferropolis with my favorite person. Ferropolis is an old excavation site with “ein Baggersee” the German word for a lake made from an excavation site. There were small woods between the lake and the camping site and it was a 15 minute walk or a shuttle ride a kilometer away to the festival area. The stages are built along large excavators where there were light installations and flames shooting out. Sisyphos the famous club in Berlin made an installation in the forest with a beach, dance floor, bar and tree houses to relax in. There was an adult playground complete with little play excavators. Every act was incredible. We saw Fat Boy Slim, Sylvan Esso, M.I.A, Glass Animals, Sampha, Mø, Bilderbuch, Die Antwoord, Bonobos, A Tale Of Us, and The Kills. Dying to relive the weekend
The park next to my house is gorgeous. My daily routine includes happy spazieren
Embarrassingly low quality reproductions of some film I got developed from Iceland
Beautiful homes in Reykjavik Iceland
Some guy came up to me in the park and started talking to me/hitting on me. Said I spoke English with a german accent and dressed like an Austrian. Utter bullshit but it made me laugh
Night out in Berlin
Spent last weekend at Southside festival in Neuhausen Ob Eck, Deutschland with a crew of lovely Austrians. Expectations were low because I only knew 2 of the bands when I bought the tickets but honestly it was one of the best weekends of my life. The music was amazing, I got to know everyone I was with really well and we all had a great time together. I also learned a ton of new german words/Austrian slang. And did you ever see anything more beautiful than that Ferris Wheel at sunset? Counting down the days until I go to Melt festival!
First day and night in Paris staying near Sacre Coeur
My first day in Paris I walked from Montmartre through Jardins des Tuileries (and may have shed a few tears because I was FINALLY IN PARIS AND HOLY SHIT THE TOP OF THE EIFFEL TOWER) then crossed La Seine to the Musée d'Orsay
