Lily Baskerville | Volume Cover 13
āI see! Well then.. Youāre just like me!ā [ x ]
āUseless.. Powerless.. They were better off without me.ā [ x ]
Isn't she just a normal girl?
Lily Baskerville. He memorized the name to a T, making sure heād never forget it. Despite being this close to him she didnāt seem to display any signs of falling to insanity. At least, not yet. Some could cope with it better than others, but there were no individuals who could stand prolonged exposure to the Kishin and retain their sanity. Be itĀ hallucinationsĀ or sudden, illogical changes in their behavior.
Or they just ended up giggling like idiots.
āLily~ Very well then. Go ahead and hide, Lily. I will come and find you.ā
And she would certainly remember his name, as well. Especially with just how kind he was towards the overly energetic child. A friend to play with? That's all she ever needed!
In fact, it just so happened to be one of the very most important things that Lily had her mind set on. With her goal still set on helping her Master Glen, of course, that had always came first! With the sickening thoughts constantly being pushed into the back of her mind until she just so happened to take a break from sanity. In which the child would only continue smile on and on as she did such deeds.
"Okay! But no cheating!!"
Shizuo was a little surprised.
Whatever this girl had, any intelligence at all, was probably not even thereāanyone with common sense would have turned and ran away at the fight of this guy tearing shit out of the ground, bare hands and all, breaking it in complete two. He even had a piece of rubble of the town still held over his headāand regardless, her happy expression still remained, as she was Ā practically bouncing. He could have hurt herāin fact, he was almost about to, as he heard her, but he stopped twice and tried to freeze in his spot. Was she an idiot?
The guy had gotten better at controlling his own power to be able to keep people from getting hurt. People like Akane, he had been able to use his strength with such precision to save herāeven if she was the one in the first place who had tried to hurt him by using a high voltage tazer on him. Like Vorona, whom he had completely ignored Izaya for, to make sure she was okay. But it wasnāt exactly perfect.
In the least, he wasnāt bound to pick fights with little kids. Even if he was still pretty angry. So what if he was strong? It wasnāt something to admire.
So he looked down at her. Studying her. He dropped the broken pillar to the ground beside them suddenly. And she still didnāt budge an inch. Nor did she make any hesitant expressions. It was all just a smile. There was a pause in him before he said anything in response to the little girl. Just⦠well. All in all, this was a response that he had never gotten before. He wanted toĀ chastiseĀ her for being so warm and oblivious to the danger of being near him.
Where were her parents, because he needed toĀ have a word with āem for raising this kid wrong.
āI could have hurt you, kid.ā Was all he said in response, looking away slightly. Maybe if he didnāt make try to make eye contact, sheād leave him alone?? Maybe????
Well he certainly was right... in a good amount of things.
Being born as a child whose family cared very little of her, it should not come off as a surprise that she grown to be a girl with no tutoring. With what little she had learn with her stay in the Baskerville family, Lily grew up to be a child that relied mainly on her heart and whatever came to her mind rather than putting much thought into things.
Even with the most obvious of display of danger, Lily showed no sign of hesitation or fear as long as she believed that she would not be hurt. Along with her own bit of excitement of meeting someone that could hopefully become a new friend.
Still, to put it short, Lily had not a single hint of fear of the man before her. While he had done a good amount of destruction of the area surrounding them, it did nothing more than expose her childlike curiosity of those who were unfamiliar to the young girl.
"But you didn't!" She responded, her voice not even daring to falter from that energetic tone, "So it's okay, right?"
And nope, she's going to keep staring up at him with those big, blue eyes of hers that were shining with interest.
How eager. How spirited. So innocent yet brimming with madness. A perfect canvas to be painted on in his eyes. Asura lowered himself down onto his knees in order to bring himself down to her level of height. Just what was it that made her soul seem to unpredictable? So.. frightening. He would enjoy finding it out. And exploiting it, of course.
āHide and seek? Yes, I think thatād be a great game to play. My name is Asura. And you are?ā
Having him brought to her eye level didn't cause any thought of fear or any sense of a threat at all as she rocked back and forth on her heels. Her features not daring to falter from the the bright and energetic expression that she was currently wearing.
"Oh really, yay~!! I'm really good at hide and seek!"
"And my name is Lily Baskerville, it's nice to meet you, Asura!"
[ At first he was in Ikebukuro.
He didnāt even notice the dark mass that had dragged him into the ground. He had seen the ground and thought that he had perhaps tripped on something without noticing. Then all was black.
Finding himself in an unfamiliar place now, it confused him. And the more he looked, the further he confused him. He had never been here before, and judging by the appearance of where he was in, it seemed like some kind of western style town. Something European, maybe. He had never been to Europe, but he knew that this place was not Japaneseāthere was not a sign at all that was in Japanese.
But, it was peaceful.
Almost too peaceful right now. Eerie.
But he didnāt put too much thought into that. There was another question that needed to be asked right now. How he had managed to get kidnapped⦠was mysterious in itself. But it wasnāt that outlandish of a thought. People couldnāt take Shizuo head onāthat would be like a death wish for those who actually knew who he was. And Izaya was always tricking him into situations like this.
He didnāt even notice the brand of WRATH on his chest. His thoughts grew too infuriated with the thought of Izayaā him having done thisā shipping him off to some place so that he could be free to skip around Ikebukuro and cause trouble thereā
He could even still smell his traces here. That asshole was still lingering around. He knew it, even if he didnāt quite know what that fucker was plotting now. ]
This is your doing, isnāt it you damn insect!?
WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU SHIPPED ME OFF TO YOU ASSHOLEEEEEE!!!
[ And here, you already have someone trashing up the place in pure, unadulterated anger, as you are able to witness him smashing up a street lamp, uprooting it with his very bare fist. ]
As Lily paid no mind to the symbol of wrath being now imprinted on her chest, the young girl only continued to skip along her own little set path as she decided to get a good look around the area. Eyes shining with the amount of excitement that she so easily exposed to the unfamiliar world around her with a smile to match. It was all difficult for the young girl to pay much attention onto one thing before something else had distracted her --
That was, however, until she had witnessed the sighting of a street lamp being uprooted from the concrete bellow her feet.
The young girl's lips formed into an 'o' as her entire being bubbled with excitement. It was rare to see something such as this! In fact, she had never seen something like this before, even while she had been surrounded by those that had abilities that were not in fact very normal in themselves.
"Wow!"
Without a single sense of hesitance, the young Baskerville approached the male who had caused already this much damage in this world. With every part of her being not at all being unafraid of the blond, the ginger haired girl remained having her childish expression.
"Wow, mister~! You're really strong! Wow!!"
regiving started following you
āGreetings, little one. Would you like to play with me for a while?ā
This feeling.. This wonderful feeling. Yet another person teetering on the edge of madness. And one with the potential of being a Kishin as well. He needed tohave her..
"Play with you?"
The words that came in her direction came to somewhat of a surprise, but were all to welcomed by the young Baskerville. Tiny hands being thrown up in the air as a bright smile appeared on her face, "Of course I'll play with you!!"
Rocking back and forth on her heels, Lily's excitement was filled to the brim.
"What do you want to play first? Hide and seek?"
what was once hell;; [open]
Upon wandering this unknown realm, Loki had met quite a few people; they all seemed to be from completely different worlds. Worlds that the trickster hadnāt a single clue had existed. Now, seeing the lost young girl tossed into this area as well, it came as no surprise to Loki. He knew that people were being forced here, but he no longer cared for that; he simply cared for the reason why, at that point.
It was quite strange though, how the young girl quickly became ecstatic before skipping toward him. He would expect her to be more alarmed; she was either an airhead, or had no reason to be worried. Perhaps she possessed some oddly powerful abilities? The demigod wouldnāt be shocked; at a young age, he had his magical abilities.
āIs being lost a good thing, little one?ā he questioned, evidently amused by how pleased she was.
Her high-pitched voice was a tad annoying, but the trickster had to put up with his subjects; if he exterminated all of his subjects, then who was there to rule over? Emerald optics looked down toward the child, but he wasnāt one to drop his guard. She was potentially hostile, even if she didnāt seem like it.
āI am Loki of Asgard, and you are?ā
With sign of response, the young girl could feel her heart slowly rise from the fall it had since her arrival of this unfamiliar location. That smile seeming to brighten more as the time between words slowly passed, which should not be much of a surprise coming from a child at her age.
What should be the real surprise is just how comfortable she allowed herself to be in such a short amount of time. Temporarily pushing away the fact that her most important of all duties must be put in hold for being brought here.
In fact, it could all still be a chance of helping Master Glen! So that certainly brought a good enough amount of positivity to run through this young girls veins.
"It depends!" The young girl let a bit of giggling to slip past her lips, before she rose a tiny finger for the remainder of her response.
"If you have friends, then it's fun!"
At least, she believed of it to be fun.
To be surrounded by those that liked you -- or rather, liked her, and were willing to laugh and smile alongside the girl who had been marked as nothing more than a devil by the eyes of many. As long as that bit of loneliness remained pushed in the far corners of this young girls mind, Lily had absolutely no problem with allowing herself to be "lost" from time to time.
"My name is Lily! Lily Baskerville!!"
what was once hell;; [open]
Black.
There was no warning when she felt the numerous black cords slowly drag her into the ground, it had brought immediate fear for the young Baskerville. Being dragged into the Abyss once was bad enough. The thought of once again being brought into that Hell once again was certainly not ever put into mind.
Especially with her mind set on lending a helping hand on bringing back her dear Master Glen. The young ginger haired girl was more than enough startled to be sucked into nothing more than black --
Which had brought some mixed feelings once she had awoke into the town square.
Blue eyes taking quick glances of her surroundings, it immediately brought her heart to sink into her heart. With not a single familiar looking face, it had caused that little hint of fear to temporarily be shoved into yet another far corner in her mind. This was a chance to meet someone new!
With any other child with the utmost confidence and finding no consequence in her actions, there was absolutely no hesitance once the young Baskerville had her eyes set on a possible new friend.
What was once a frown quickly brought her lips to curve into a brightening smile, as the child skipped her way towards them.
"Hello~!" She called, her high-pitched voice exposing the amount of excitement she was unable to reach in the previous events before her appearance in this town, "You look lost, just like me!! Oh yay~!"
you're just like me
