fic set in a vaguely fantasy/medieval setting where prince katsuya is the son of king touichirou, adopted into the royal family purely for his magical bloodline and has about the same relationship as canon- dependent and desperately grateful (even though he shouldn’t be)

then, one day while watching his rebellious little brother shou (who is the crown prince, the “real” son, and yet doesn’t want any of it) he either gets bullied, tricked, or otherwise bamboozled into losing his guards and getting stranded in the middle of the city. And no one recognizes him, because prince katsuya always stays safely inside the royal quarters of the castle, never making a single public appearance. Thankfully, a strange man, a “master class wizard” with no magic is kind enough to help him for the afternoon until he can find a guard who actually recognizes him

only, the fake-wizard reigen was interesting. He said awful (obviously untrue, right?) things about the king and the wars he was raising, even though dissenters got executed for far less. Katsuya sneaks out, on purpose this time, just to see him once more before someone arrests him. And then again, and again, with the fake persona ‘Serizawa’ who was just another commoner. And he meets Reigen’s apprentice, with actual powers far beyond anything the prince has seen, almost like he might be the prophesized ‘true heir’ from the old forgotten bloodline that king touichirou has suppressed knowledge of. Slowly, he learns that maybe his adoptive little brother is more than just childishly rebellious, and that maybe there was a good reason for that, and that -just maybe- he should be too. 

A fic in which a member of royalty pretends to be a commoner and falls in love with a commoner who doesn’t believe in royalty.

Also, he didn’t do it on purpose. The story that was circulating most recently was a guy in Hong Kong who got jumped after speaking too loudly while leaving the movie. Guy was just excited and said some spoiler within earshot of people entering the movie.

Like, even if it was intentional it’s not okay but they LITERALLY jumped a fan for being a little to loud in his excitement for what he just saw.

my favorite headcanon is the whole school and neighborhood thinking that reigen is mob’s dad cause they’re always together and reigen has gone to pick up mob at school more than once 

also mob getting bad grades or getting in trouble at school and not wanting his parents to find out so reigen goes instead

reigen charming every single mom in PTA meetings and getting all the hot gossip about who is cheating on who and he tells mob all about it after work and mob just nods along cause he doesn’t care about it 

also the moms making reigen cupcakes and stuff cause he’s the youngest in the PTA meetings and they all have the hots for him, reigen just loves the attention 

ritsu being mad af when people start asking him about his ‘hot dad’ and he’s like ‘that dude’s not my fucking dad’ and everyone just shakes their heads at him like ‘kid’s going through the rebellious stage were they hate their parents’ and ritsu’s trying so hard not to destroy everyone 

mob just embraces it tho, like he doesn’t tell people that reigen’s really his master and he doesn’t correct them when they assume he’s his dad omfg

Each of the esper kids eventually accepting the fact that they’ve all accidentally called Reigen “dad” on multiple occasions, and then just running with it. Reigen may or may not tear up because of this.

-Shou probably will someday, but like they’re all middle schoolers, come on. 

-Reigen briefly pretended to be a stoner in college bc he accidentally lied about it while panicking once and felt locked into it. 

-Serizawa hasn’t tried weed but honestly could probably benefit from it medicinally. 

-Shimazaki smokes weed 100% but u all already knew that. He jokes at least once about how minegishi should try growing some and how maybe that would make him less grumpy

-minegishi does try growing some but only post world domination and it’s really shitty weed (see: mob’s tomato plant)

Fic where reigen gets pulled to the alternate dimension where mob is evil and the world is basically screwed. Evil mob murdered that worlds reigen ages ago and decided to see if he could summon more. After some angst and our mob eventually saving the day, Reigen learns the truth- this wasn't really "the world where mob was a bad person", it's "the world where reigen was a bad person". It was Reigens heartless, more manipulative mentorship of mob that gave the eventual mogami encounter the ammunition to really push mob over the edge

i feel like, for all intents and purposes, eku//rei should be up my alley but the problem is that I can’t take a developing romance between them seriously. maybe its bc i’m a bit shallow and have a hard time when one character is a face glued onto a green cloud but i can only really see them fondly bickering like an old married couple

when reigen was in college he started a several-years-long campaign of always getting 1 less sugar or cream than he really wanted, slowly acclimating his taste until it actually tastes good instead of tolerable, and then getting one less of that. When asked he’ll say “oh yeah it’s healthier this way” but the real truth is he thought it would look cool ordering his coffee black

he probably always thought he’d be sort of kidding himself with this but now when he has a sip of someone’s coffee that actually has sugar in it it’s gross

I was thinking more along the lines of they could be mistaken as being related than actually being related lmao. fourteen is too young to have a kid - I don’t know that I’d really enjoy an AU where teru’s his biological son because it makes me feel kinda squicky

Maybe some sort of AU where a recently left behind teru tries to reach out to other members of his family and finds this second cousin who lives in the same city and is (apparently) also a psychic.

ooooh, that would be really fun!! I love that idea! especially in a pre-canon setting - maybe teru becomes the reason reigen sticks with his psychic business. he’s bored, not happy with the work, but then this cousin he’s never met comes to him hoping for someone else who understands him and could help him against claw and he just can’t turn the kid away. I’d read the heck out of that
