When downloading patterns to the knitting machine it accepts a string of numbers 0, 1, 2 or 3 to specify which yarn you want each stitch to be. If you view it at the right width you can see the patterns in the data! (Knit live yesterday on @9to5.tv) (at Creative Media Industries Institute)
