Visions Of Paradise - Sera & Wesley
When Wesley asked her to assure him that he was not the only one to have had a few fashion choice regrets from the past, Sera gave out a short ha, shaking her head. “Oh definitely not. You should have seen my hair back then. You think the photos at my parents’ house are bad, you should see the ones I didn’t let them put up. A lot of crimping and teasing and hairspray. It was bad. I’d like to hope that my mother burned all those ones.” She said, smiling over at him as she thought back to the younger version of herself and all the clothes she wore and the way she did her makeup. She grimaced at the thought for a split second before she was drawn away from the memories by the man standing near her.
As he mentioned checking for the camera and photos later, Sera gave a nod. “Yeah, don’t worry about it now. We’ll get to that eventually. We don’t have to rush everything now.” They had already gotten a lot done, which surprised Sera, but she was definitely exhausted because of the fact. She knew they could finish up the smaller stuff later and that they weren’t going to have difficult with their living conditions if they didn’t have photos in frames out everywhere. At his wink, Sera gave a small chuckle, her lips settling into a warm smile soon after, thinking if there was someone she could actually think to go to. She thought about the place Evie had gone to for Charlotte’s baby pictures and remember her sister saying good things about the studio. She thought about checking it out later, hoping maybe it would be good for them. The pictures of Charlie after all had turned out nice. “I think I might know a place but I’ll have to look.” She said.
Looking at the rest of the contents in the box, Sera figured there wasn’t much use of them and figured they could all either go into the garage or be trashed, whatever Wesley wanted to do with it. She thought it was all junk now but she wouldn’t fight him on any of it if he wanted to keep it. Well, maybe she would for the pencil shavings and paper clips. As he began to talk about when she had left, Sera lifted her gaze to watch him as he spoke. She felt her chest swell as he mentioned trying to paint and draw her. She could still remember how hard it had been to say goodbye to him all that time ago but she was so happy that they had found each other again and she knew that she would never have to make that hard decision to leave him ever again. She rose from the bed and reached for him, grasping onto his arm lightly and pulling him to her, as she wrapped her arm around his shoulder. “Well now you don’t have to do either because I’m not going anywhere anymore.” She said softly as she brought her lips to his.
"I think we can trash the rest of this stuff. Lets call it a night and go to bed, yeah? Pick up tomorrow" She said, still speaking in a soft, low voice as she pressed small pecks against his lips between sentences. She felt happy, tired from the days work, but happy. She had Wesley with her, and they would fall asleep in the same bed and wake up in the same bed every morning. Her life was finally looking up, and she knew it was all because he had come back to her. She would always be thankful to him, for bring all the things she wanted but didn’t think she could have to reality.
Sera's description had made him curious enough to want to see the pictures. However, he cared about her feelings more than he cared about easing his own curiosity. If the pictures recirculated he would find it difficult to avoid taking a glance but he wasn't going to demand to see them. "All of that hairspray must have paid off." He spoke teasingly, "Because you’re beautiful. " A smirk slowly stretched across his lips, "Perhaps even the sexiest woman around." It didn't matter what she looked like as a young girl, or even as a teenager, because he hadn't known her back then. Wesley started to laugh, "And sometimes you're very distracting because I can't take my eyes off you.”
"I don't even think I have the energy to be bothered by it right now." He chuckled softly, "Definitely something to worry about later." Wesley waited for a response from Sera about the studio. The realization that his wife hadn't been his first thought was still lingering on his mind. It was clear that he had moved on from an outside perspective, or else he wouldn't have been with Sera, but mentally he still struggled with balancing his love for the both of them. The more involved he became with Sera the less he thought about his previous life. It felt natural, though, as if being with Sera was the right person to move on with. He gave a quick smile as Sera mentioned knowing of a studio. "Perfect."
His eyes lit up as Sera brought up not going anywhere. “Yes, I know.” He returned her kiss, his lips pressing deeper into hers. Wesley’s interest in the box had dwindled down and when Sera brought up throwing the rest in the trash he found it hard to argue. Everything that was worth being kept was already taken out and if he kept anything else it would have been out of laziness and not actual attachment. “The rest is quite rubbish.” He admitted with a laugh as he let go of the box and joined Sera's embrace. “Tomorrow, yes, we can finish then...that’s a good idea.” Agreed Wesley, in between the kisses that she was giving him, as he slowly brought them closer to their bed.
