He considered, indeed, sitting up, but Molly’s words had quite the effect. Yes, it was in no way convenient, but he could just imagine their lips brushing, the sweet wine trickling between them, and it was… well.

Alluring, to say the least.

“And what if I do want that?” He hummed, quietly. “You feeding it to me like that. You did state it was an option and, you know…” he shrugged, which made the hammock shuffle about a little.

“But I will not say no to those dried meats.”

He grinned at Luce, who had already procured some of it. It was one of Caleb’s favourites, though he knew most found it rather boring. He just like the saltiness of it.

An amused purr rumbled in the back of Mollymauk's throat. It was a treat to see Caleb open up like that-- and undoubtedly a promise of much more to come. He could feel a chill creeping down his spine, his tail curling up behind him. A telltale sign that his words had not been just a bluff.

❝ Love, I would feed it to you whatever way you want- I'd be hurt if you doubted me, ❞ he winked, taking another mouthful of the wine, just to lean in closer and press his mouth against his wizard's. He waited patiently for the other's lips to part, to respond to his offering. It trickled past his own lips into Caleb's mouth. Only when the other's throat bobbed as he swallowed, Molly pushed back, amusement dancing in his crimson orbs.

Lucien leaned in closer, his forked tongue briefly pressed against the corner of Caleb's mouth, licking up a single droplet that was left behind.

❝ Look at our stray, ❞ Molly grinned, wiping the corners of his own mouth with the back of his hand.

❝ Eager as ever ❞

"I absolutely am going to drink it. I do dare to say I need it more than you two, and I thought you were planning to spoil me," Caleb said -- but it was all in jest. Frankly, it was a good sign. An invite that he was open to more tonight, despite his aching body. He might not be up to take a very heavy lead role, but he could perfectly order them around from where he was laying.

Now, he was eyeing the bottle.

"I think the better question is, who is going to feed it to me. Because I am laying here and I am quite comfortable -- and I was promised the undivided attention of not one, but two tieflings."

He raised a single eyebrow.

"And I am quite interested in that bottle. The label promises very good wine, and I am willing to test."

And they were planning to spoil him, there was absolutely no doubt about that. The promise in his words had Molly's tail patter in anticipation-- never able to keep his excitement unnoticed. Somewhat of a curse, if you asked him.

Before Lucien could even say anything, he already reached for the bottle with a grin, pushing up just slightly to uncork it. The first swig ended up in his own mouth, humming softly at the sweet taste. Caleb was right, the bottle was quite promising, and its contents did not disappoint.

❝ Well, love, unless you want to drink it directly from my mouth- which I must say is definitely an option -you would have to lean up just a little, ❞ Molly purred into Caleb's ear, a shit eating grin appearing on Lucien's face in response.

Both tieflings could be absolutely ruthless sometimes.

❝ Maybe Luci can feed you some dried meats as well. Best of both worlds, like you deserve. ❞

He did enjoy the feeling of being sandwiched between Molly and Lucien. It gave his body that grounding factor that he appreciated, and he stretched, taking that bite of bread with grateful eyes. He had been starving. Leaving without breakfast would do that to one, after all. Even a powerful wizard.

"You two are in oddly good spirits."

It wasn't a jab. Merely an observation. He had crossed his arms under his head and felt Lucien rest his head against his bicep. Interesting, the tiefling was clearly not against touch today.

Molly was, neither -- but Molly was never.

"I see we have wine bottles I do not recognize," he hummed -- though he wasn't quite sure how he would drink from those laying down. It didn't quite matter. The comfort of the pressure of their bodies was enough to not move.

Oh- Molly was in good spirits. The simplicity of this all, the knowledge that things were just good. Sure, in a not so distant past this would have given him the jitters. Things were not supposed to be good. However, living like this with Caleb, with their son, the road their world. No responsibilities- or well, not that many. It gave him a calm that he might have found scary once.

And yes, Lucien fit in that picture. His past, his present, perhaps even his future- but no longer one he was afraid of.

Lucien just scoffed against Caleb's clothed bicep, crimson eyes briefly cast up to the wizards face. He had the bottle pressed between them, an invite to take it if the need arose.

❝ you startin' as well ? Who cares where the bottles came from ? ❞ If Molly's memories were bad- Lucien's weren't the best either, albeit arguably better than that of his counterpart. He'd taken the bottles somewhere during his wanderings. Probably from someone who wouldn't even miss them.

❝ Gonna drink it or not ? More for me and Mol then. ❞

He laughed softly. "You can dictate to me, you know? I will write it for you." Nevertheless, he hauled himself into the hammock with a groan, flopping back to gaze up.

"Good view here."

There was a smile in his voice as he listened to the crackle of the fire. Oh, he loved the sense of belonging, the comfort they had here. He closed his eyes, just for a moment.

"You two will be joining me, I hope?"

He was still strong. He was still handsome. But he did fear what would happen if he got even older. He knew what Essek had said, it haunted him sometimes.

❝ && what is the fun in that ? ❞ Molly asked with a small pout appearing on his lips. He pushed himself up, leaning on Lucien's shoulder. Grabbing a piece of bread, he smeared some of the salted butter on top before bringing it over to Caleb.

Lucien followed, bringing the bottle of wine with him, no way he'd get up again once he laid down. Fuck that.

❝ Well, darling, scoot over and we will crawl into the hammock with you like the carnival freaks we are ! ❞ Molly grinned, only to earn a glare from Lucien. Oh- he was very well aware that he didn't want to be associated with the time Molly had spend there. Fine, but that didn't stop him from teasing the hell out of Lucien for it.

He pressed the slice of bread against his wizard's lips, urging him to take a bite. && stuck between his teeth, Molly got into the hammock next to him, happy to lay flush against him.

❝ Here we are ! ❞

Caleb couldn't help, a smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth. He did like the fact they teased him a little and it wasn't quite untrue - they were looking like a feast.

'Ja, ja, two delightful snacks.'

He was eyeing the hammock. His body got older, more sore after days of hiking in the woods, and he rolled his shoulders, hoping he hid it a little - after all, he didn't want to worry them.

'But there is wine, so I see the most important part has been taken care of.'

There was that gentle smirk again.

But Molly saw, Molly felt it, and he was quite sure that if he did so, Lucien did as well. As mentioned earlier, they shared a connection that simply could not be put into words. Sometimes not even a sideways glance was needed, but a simple squeeze of his hand on the other's upper arm was more than enough to wordlessly voice his worries.

It hurt him to see Caleb suffer. They were all getting older, yes, but it hadn't affected the tieflings in the way it seemed to have affected Caleb so far. Now that the former volstrucker could finally lean back a little, did all the exhaustion finally catch up with him ?

It wasn't something Molly found easy to bring up. He preferred to silently show his care wherever Caleb allowed him to. Much like he was doing now.

❝ Hammock it is, sir, ❞ he cackled, motioning his head towards it. ❝ And I will personally write Veth an unreadable letter to thank her if the thing magially holds us all. ❞

"I saved them for a special occasion," Lucien said. He slowly sat down, sinking on the grass next to Molly. He was not a big fan of sitting on the ground, but this wasn't so bad. The fire crackled softly, the sun already setting in the distance.

In his head, he still heard Caleb's song.

He let Molly slide against him, fingers dancing over his lower back as an invitation to show him that was, actually, allowed to be needy today. There were days that Lucien couldn't handle touch that well. But today was not that day.

"And I do want to share. That is why I kept them hidden. You might have drank them up all by yourself.'

Molly wouldn't have, but jesting was fun. They bantered back and forth a bit, spreading out the bread and spreads they had -- even some grapes -- as Caleb came walking back across the field.

Molly knew the signs Lucien gave him. It was something unspoken between the two of them, but in a good way-- very good even if you asked him, because it wasn't always easy for Mollymauk to speak about his feelings without dancing around them or just waving them away with a dazzling smile on his face. && the same fore Lucien, pretty much.

Now he found himself leaning into the other tiefling, a snort leaving him at the harmless stab, his own banter quickly to follow. The moment itself was nice, but the soft look on his face also quickly returned as Caleb approached the two.

❝ Well, do you still think we failed preparing a feast ? ❞ the tease was audible in his voice, an arm slung across Lucien's shoulders as he pulled the other close to him.
