— Sylvia Plath
“To love a person is to see all of their magic, and to remind them of it when they have forgotten.”
— Unknown
“I’m going to tell you a secret: You don’t have to believe every thought that pops into your head.”
— B. Dave Walters
You're not grown until you know how to communicate, apologize, be truthful and accept accountability without blaming someone else.
“To have someone understand your mind is a different kind of intimacy.”
— Unknown
The thing about sadness is that it never warns you that it will come back. You’ll end up with an aching heart again, minutes after laughing, and it will feel like you found someone in your house; someone who you thought had left
“Wait for someone who makes grocery shopping fun. Someone who you don’t mind staying in with on a Friday night doing laundry while sitting on the living room floor eating bad Chinese. Wait for someone who makes you happy to be alive because 50 years from now, that’s all that’s going to matter.”

“And darling, you need to be patient with yourself. The pain does not vanish overnight. You heal one day at a time, one step at a time. And maybe, just maybe, in six months from now, you will find yourself enjoying a day where the pain ceases to exist. Be gentle on yourself, allow the healing process to take place.”

“Loss, in my experience, is never easy. You’ll learn to associate their name with the burning of bile in your throat. You’ll find yourself crying with no memory of what even triggered it. You’ll want to scream and cry but instead find yourself numb, struggling to even get through the motions. But keep going. Even if it means sobbing as you cook dinner. Or clenching your fists so hard the palm of your hand bleeds on your way to work. Or breaking down in the shower so you can pretend the tears aren’t real. But they are. And this is real and everything you are feeling is real. My mum once told me ‘the only way out is through’ and I swear if you keep pushing through this utter crap, one day the thought of them will sting less. And one day you’ll hear their name and the first thought that comes to you won’t hurt. Your life hasn’t stopped just because theirs has. I promise.”

I don't know who needs to hear this but... start living. The days are flying by and all you do is work, pay bills, and stress. Enjoy what you can like walks, sunsets, music, laughter. Joy doesn't have to be expensive. You deserve it.
I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy. Because they know what it's like to feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anybody else to feel like that.
