It was big and blue and damp, it was lonely and isolated and empty, and even worse it was far away from any land mass and was incredibly cold. She was supposed to go to Europe for a designated mission, but her luck was turning lopsided. She snuck onto a small cargo-carrier and hid in one of the boxes (one that was filled with corn) and awaited her final destination. However due to severe weather, the Atlantic took herself a ship in her depths and sneaking Ria afloat.Â
Granted she wasnât stuck in a box and was able to get out just fine, but for the fact that she was stranded in the middle of nowhere didnât help. She had no communication, no water, and was running out of food. Days became longer, nights became colder, and her life was quickly shrinking. At this point she would be doomed to drift along the Atlantic forever until the flies and birds pick her bones clean.
That is until she hit land.
The lizard was washed up along the beach, water lapping against her legs and pushing her more into the wet sand. Empty cobs of corn were scattered around her somewhat lifeless body with bits of wood planks sparing a pattern of destruction. Her clothes were destroyed and her green skin was uncomfortably pale. Dehydration was taking its tole on her body and she wasnât moving.Â
It would take a miracle if somebody else was on this beach in hopes of reviving her.
