I really like this little collection. The goblins are kinda inspired from Tolkien and old folk illustrations. Big beard guy is more Shel Silverstein mixed with my dad. I love the big city because it’s silly and I find the hundreds of little windows so satisfying. I drew a bunch of these little cities all over in sketch books and made this big one with a paint marker one morning. With the fishes I wanted to draw a big crowd scene like Richard Scary or Martin Hanford who did Where’s Waldo.
