clips from the garden tour at #thegetty was shot in #4kphotomode so that each frame can be turned into a photo if need be. first time shooting in that mode, it's kinda weird but can come in handy. especially at the spectacular reuben exhibit no video or pictures allowed, but i just set it on my chest and let it record. but shhh #donttellnobody and thanks to @fearlessly1 for coming along for the day! go technology! one of the many things that grinds my gear is when someone asks me how many megapixels is my camera, i give them my answer and the look of disappointment on their face is what truly bothers me, what they don’t know is, the marketers are so damn good at feeding the idea of megapixels that they fall for it and buy the highest megapixel camera there is.. Let me give you a quick lesson, when digital cameras started at 2 megapixels every pixel counted, in reality anything over 8 megapixels for editorial print is gods gift. most magazine interior page ad are just over 8x11@240 dpi which is roughly 1920 x 2400 approximately 4.6 megapixels.. But jay that was then.. What about now? Same fucking thing an iPad 3 with retina display at 9.7” wide @264 dpi needs a file just over 3 megapixels. So what did we learn, megapixels is a myth. don’t be a camera measurebator, I will throat punch you and take hyperlapse photos while throat punching you.. -End Rant-
