You departed from me physically

and still a thing hadn’t changed 

I grieve 

as if you aren’t still existing on the same plane 

though you don’t exist in my reality anymore

You are but a cathexis in my mind

infiltrating every door 

open my heart at any condition

I am willing to surrender 

may the love be true

to me 

I’ll always be with you

Soul singing the blues 

a colorless life with only one hue 

through Everyone else’s colorblindness

still the only one who can see every shade of me 

Never felt so alone

detached from life 

meaningful when we were one

my dreams are now the afterworld

where you’re always in sight 

You are but a cathexis in my mind

The things I have cried my heart out about, I never want my daughter to go through

I don't want her to even come slightly close to the adversities that have attempted to kill me

I don't want her to endure a pain that has her questioning God to why she keeps experiencing torment

I don't want her to be convinced she has to numb her emotions and shrink her spirit because the world wasn't so kind to her

I don’t want her to ever find it difficult to remain in flesh because she can’t fathom staying alive

Whispers of you in the night

The only time we speak

Is in my dreams

Where you visit me

reassuring we lay together

for eternity

Whispers of you in the night

I wish for you to love me

When morning arises

Not in an altered reality

for you to love me

Beyond this fantasy

You approach me

When it’s time to say goodnight

I lie to myself

Believing there is a chance

For unity

Too busy lost in nostalgic reverie

Has gave me nightmares

Of dreamers remorse

Taking away my dignity

I always wonder if you really here

You haunt me

My past love’s return

A lost flame that arose again

at the subtle presence of a match

And I dream over and over again

Despite how illogical this is all

I stand tall

Despite how cruelly God laughs at the odds

the guidebook on how to love, volume one.

learning how to love is like learning how to breathe.

inhale the affection and exhale past pain.

but if all the air is filled with uncertainty,

doubt and fear of loving someone..

did i really learn again, or

it is what you taught me?

learning how to love is like learning how to read,

you start on the right but things go left.

sometimes the words scatter if you move too fast..

and then you have to close the book,

afraid of knowing what might happen next.

learning to love is like skydiving out of a plane.

you jump head first into something great,

there’s a voice saying “wait!” because you forgot to lift your parachute.

you realize you aren’t floating, but your falling.

down, down, down..

who’s to say you’ll land on your feet?

the scariest thing is,

you won’t find out, until you hit the ground.

learning to love is like learning how to breathe,

inhaling, exhaling in some need of want and affection.

learning how to love is like learning how to read,

wanting to know more about someone, hoping it’ll give you satisfaction.

learning to love is like skydiving out of a plane.

and love makes you do crazy things.

learning to love is learning to feel.

and you can’t love unless..

you’re healed.
