can there be a formal voice/artist claim for the musicians? just so overlap can be avoided?

we have this a little better explained in our rules section, but the reason we think it’s best not to have every single person claim individual voice claims is because muses with musician/singer fcs may only play them for that reason. we want to ensure people here are genuinely playing muses and not just playing their favorite artists! however, you’re 100% allowed to outline which artist your muse sounds the most like/takes inspo from.

are muses allowed to be in multiple divisions? like if i wanted my muse to primarily be a singer but wanted to do other careers on the side?

short answer: yes! in your application, you'll still need to choose a "main" career/division however, you're more than welcome to dive into a few different areas; even in real life we see celebrities and influencers dipping their toes in several areas or swapping altogether in their careers. we just ask that things are done as realistically as possible! a more holistic answer is available here in our faqs.

is this like a fresh start or are the faceclaims on the taken page already taken from before the revamp? sorry if this is a dumb question!

not a dumb question at all! the faceclaims on the taken page are reserved - these are from members who were still around when/after we closed that have chosen to return! as far as muse revamps/fresh starts go in general, the majority of muses are starting fresh (to fit their new career paths) or keeping limited connections. the only thing that will 100% remain unchanged throughout muses is time spent in the group (ex: muses who have been in rising for a longer time are canonically more famous/experienced)! this is to ensure opportunities are still fair for legacy members who had plans to expand their development. previously, status would wipe after a time while being gone. however, since activity is much more lax, your muse will retain status if you're returning!

what time does the application process end?

our submit will close at 3pm est tomorrow! after that, new muse apps will only be accepted through our main twitter from current/previous muses. this means we won't be accepting entirely new members/muns once we move to closed/private, but existing members or those who apply within the acceptance window are more than welcome to leave/return/bring new muses.

will we have time to plot ooc?

yes! you'll have 3 hours to plot ooc before ic interactions officially begin/continue, and you can always plot after that in dms (especially if you want to put together any sports teams, groups, or bands)!

so is the initial opening period open to everyone and then after it becomes a closed members only sort of thing?

yep! as long as you join before we close, you can always rejoin and bring new muses. however, no new apps will be accepted from our main tumblr after tomorrow for the foreseeable future until we decide to open it up again.
