An everyday battle that I can't explain through words. Feelings that can't be explained through actions. Thoughts that don't really make sense but I get them. A mind that races at a speed that I can't keep up with.

Be Honest

We sit around and wait for the other person to do things or to say sorry or to ask if they can see you first. We don't want to express our feelings because we're scared of being hurt & the other person not feeling the same. We take hours contemplating on how we should go about a situation when in all reality all you have to do is be honest. Don't wait just do, there's a few things that can cause you to regret a lot & one of those things is pride. Nobody wants to look like the "thirsty" one but when it's right or you have the feeling that this is something that you want being "thirsty" should be ok. Because while your trying to act as if your "hydrated" your losing out on something that makes you smile that gives you butterflies every time. We take things for granted & never really acknowledge them until it's too late. So if you miss love or even want to apologize to someone just do it because you don't know how long you'll have the chance to do so.

The pain echoes against my chest, it’s beating to the lyrics of another sad love song. I can’t sleep. I went to sleep crying, thinking of the old you. Tears stained my face, head pounding from overthinking. Rolling over, there are no good morning texts…. Then I remember that you’re gone.

I start my day wishing the past was the present. There are no more good morning kisses on the cheek. There are no more I love U’s. No more see you when I get home or I miss U’s. I place my feet on the ground ready to start my day; but, I’ve exhausted my energy. Mentally drained, emotionally tired, physically weak. I’ve attempted to snooze my thoughts; however, it’s making me late.

It's time

We live in a world where a woman whose "twerking" gets more likes than a child whose beat a terminal illness more than once. When live in a place where a beef over who writes their own lyrics is more important than a young woman who died in the custody of people that are suppose to protect & serve us. You look around and day after day we are fighting for equal rights for respect for LIVES! What happened to supporting each other standing for a cause raising our children to be SOMEONE! We complain about a lot for it only to drift to the back of our minds in about a few weeks. If we stand for NOTHING we fall for ANYTHING! When does it stop? When do we take a stand?! A familiar place

& then at 27 you find yourself in such a familiar place an uncomfortable place. A place where you didn't know where you belonged, a place where affection didn't exist & when you wanted it the most neither did daddy daughter time. The tears that fall from your eyes you know so well. That little sharp pain that shoots through your chest takes you back to the moments of laying on the floor & daydreaming until the pain was gone. & then at 27 you find yourself wiping away the tears & putting on a smile.......

For once let's be Transparent..... I fear that all that I do for my daughter will never be enough, That she may never understand certain things. I worry that every time my phone rings it's bad news waiting on the other end. I wonder how my Aunt is? Did she make it to heaven? Is she finally happy? Did she go through a lot of pain? What was the main trigger? Does she miss me? I'm nervous to love with my all because what if I am not loved back the same. I am scared that every dream I dream may never come true. For once let's be transparent....

So your right, I happen to be this "unicorn" of life, I live on the edge but with caution because I'm afraid to fall. I didn't want too but I felt these feelings so strong & it scared me. You balance me you motivate me to be on point & you show me that everything doesn't deserve my energy or my overthinking. When I wasn't seeing you I was wishing that I could see you that I wanted to be with you but I didn't know how to go about it. I was scared because of all the "falls" I've had already. However your right I am this "unicorn" of life whose living on the edge of life with caution.
