Honestly, I can barely watch Riverdale anymore

Ok. Things have, for sure, gotten ridiculous. So ridic, that it's hard to watch. I dont get it! The characters and development of the characters has been good enough to where they dont even need these outlandish plot lines. Why do they do this? I would watch all of these characters interact without the dumb drama of cults and killers and a mafia-implied family. Anyone else?
