Hey everyone! One day I decided - I should try making a full story-driven illustration. And yeah, I couldn't finish it in the time I wanted, so this is just a part of it.

The drawing shows Rey as a fawn.

And just to clarify about his coloration - as a child, he had the normal coloring of a deer fawn, but due to tragic circumstances that caused him severe stress, his fur turned grey.

◆ The coat color of Evis ◆

#I want to tell you about what I'm working on right now.#I'm going to talk a lot⸲ because I feel it's important to say this.#I draw anthropomorphic animals.#To be honest⸲ most people⸲ upon seeing them⸲ would probably say: “That's just a real animal's face stuck onto a human body.”#And now I would answer: “Yes⸲ that's exactly it.”#But why is that? Because they are too anatomical - and⸲ as I see it⸲ that doesn't quite work well.#On one hand⸲ real animal anatomy helps me draw correctly.#But because of it⸲ the characters' faces completely lose the flexible and interesting expression #that is incredibly important for conveying the personality of my anthropomorphic hero.#Basically⸲ I simply lack the skill to draw in a more simplified and coherent way.#So I will put maximum focus on improving my drawing skills in general.#Here I also want to address the breed Evysa.#I like to stylize different dog breeds⸲ many of which look quite stylish themselves⸲ for example⸲ sighthounds and borzois.#For me⸲ these breeds were interesting precisely because they are very beautiful on their own⸲ but turning them into a character #that combines all their features without becoming strange is not so easy.#For example⸲ the curved back and elongated nose of a Russian borzoi have always given me trouble⸲#and I often had to abandon boring anatomy in favor of a dynamic image.#So why did I choose the Chesapeake Bay Retriever for Evysa⸲ whose main feature is its curly coat?#It's simple: it's not that difficult to draw and at the same time not boring.#Its unique coat texture⸲ which - truth be told - is quite hard to draw⸲ suits him perfectly⸲and so I think it's worth it.#Thank you all for your patience and genuine interest in exploring all of this.#If you have something to say⸲ whether advice or your opinion⸲ write to me - I will definitely reply.#own art #anthro #painting #furry #art #charecter design #own character #roe sarver

Hi! That's a great question, thanks for your interest.

Yes, this is indeed my old account. It's really nice that I can be found under the username Kerel_glai. That's the pseudonym where it all started.

Why did I stop posting there?

At that time, I was facing a number of difficulties that left me no time for drawing. And now, my vision of my own creativity has changed.

I'm working on creating something more permanent and concrete than what I had before. Running a new blog is a challenge to myself. And the progress I make here makes me genuinely happy.

Right now, my goal is to create my characters in a way that makes them unique and recognizable, but my past work didn't fit into this new vision.

So, I saw no point in continuing to run that page. And here... well, even if it's not perfect yet, at least I'm trying. And I really hope that one day I'll be able to achieve my goals.
