Troy grew up in San Francisco with his loving parents for his whole life and it seemed like he had the perfect life and he did for a lot of his childhood. But when he was a teenager and his younger brother and sister was there too, it was like he wasn’t there and he felt like he wasn’t wanted in his own family. He was definitely the outsider in his family because although he wanted to study business just like his dad in the future, he had a massive passion for performing and he never knew how to pursue it or even talk about it because every time he brought it up, is parents just kind of ignored it. He left San Francisco for college and moved to London and he was definitely in the right place, he loved the city and he made loads of friends and made a lot of memories there. He went to study Business.
He got a phone call from his brother one day and was told that his mom had passed away suddenly, it wasn’t expected and he was in shock, although he felt like an outsider in his family, it got him a lot more then he thought, so when this happened he made the decision to leave his favourite city and move home, and when Quinn said she wasn’t ready to leave the city, that ended their relationship and he was heart broken because he knew he wanted to marry her but he knew London was a long way from Brooklyn and her family were there and his were in San Francisco. He moved back just before his 29th Birthday to be with his family in this hard time and he rebuilt his relationship with his dad and it has been important that he got closer with his family again. He became a realtor and it has been something he has grown to love.
wanted connections:
childhood best friend: while Romeo left Brooklyn at 18 to move to London, growing up he would have had someone who was there for him through his life who he could rely on and who he loved.Â
drinking buddies:Â simple as it seems someone who loves to go for drinks with him.Â
platonic soulmate: someone he is close with and they can be flirty with each other, however they literally don’t see each other in any other way then just friends.Â
It was just another regular day with Florence rushing her way to work even if she didn’t have to. She refused to take the carts or a cab there knowing it was not far from her home. Nothing felt far from your home in San Francisco, even if it was. Holding onto her coffee she made her way through the street fiddling with her earplugs for some music before she walked right into someone “You did, but I am pretty sure we both are to blame here” she spoke getting down own her knees to grab the earplugs who fallen down on the ground. “ I am okay, I might be petite, but I am alright and you? are you okay?”
Romeo stood there, he was mortified as he bumped into someone and looking at her, he felt bad she didn’t deserve this. He looked at her and nodded, “Maybe so but I should have still been looking where I was going. Erm is your coffee okay?” He was hoping so, there was none on him and it didn’t look like there was any on her so it was a good sign. He looked over at her and nodded, “I am, just mortified that I just did that, i usually pay attention to everything. Can i get you anything to make up for it?”Â
Nathaniel looked at the guy coming up to him with a slight smile. It was more awkward than anything. He had no reason to feel awkward it was years ago, but he could not help it. “It really has, I have been good how about you?” he asked as he ordered a beer for himself. He leaned back a bit awkwardly. He knew it might be best to just get to it and somehow apologize for completely pushing him away as his friend, but at the same time he found it difficult. He was not sure what Romeo was expecting, them to be friends again or him to explain himself, or maybe both.
Romeo took a sip of his beer, he knew this was going to be awkward but he also knew only way to get over something is face it. He smiled looking over at him and nodded, “Yeah, I’ve been okay, had somethings go on in life but I am all good.” He stated as he held on to his glass fiddling with the rim of the glass. He looked down before looking over at the guy, “So mate, it’s been a while what have you been up to? Anything crazy? How’s life been since high school?”Â
Romeo was just leaving the gym, he was very much a stay in shape kind of person and since he had a few hours off work he did longer in the gym then he usually would. He came out of the gym whilst listening to his music and he wasn’t really paying attention to anything other then getting to his favourite smoothie bar. As he was walking he bumped into someone so hard he felt the pain. He looked up and paused his music through his air pods, “Oh my god! I am so sorry.” He sighed, “Are you okay? I smacked into you very hard there.” @tbchqstarterblog
Nathaniel was surprised to see the message from Romeo. They have been good friends in high school until Nate fucked it up by distancing himself. Nate always had a hard time thinking back to high school. He was struggling with himself and was confused most of the time there. He usually would ignore anything that had to do with that time period, but when he got the message from Romeo he agreed to meet up. It has been years and Nate owed it to him to explain himself. It might be awkward as hell, but years have gone and feelings and thoughts have changed. He just wish he dealt with it differently, but when thinking about it, he most likely dealt with it the way many teens going through those thoughts he did would. He made himself to the place looking inside scanning the room. He noticed a guy by the bar that slightly looked like him, but he wasn’t sure. So, he waited to see if he would look his way.
Romeo knew this could be an awkward night but it was important for him to try and reunite with the guy. He sat there as he waited, nerves hit him for some reason he had no clue how this was going to go. Romeo sat there scanning the room as he wasn’t sure if the guy would notice him. As he looked round he notice someone sitting there and noticed it was Nate. He got up from his table with his beer and walked over to the guy for a moment, “Hey man long time no see, how you doing?” He said as he took a seat.
Romeo had been back in San Francisco for about a year but he hadn’t really reconnected with many people in that time because he had been super busy and trying to connect with his family again. His life in London is something he missed but being home had given him hope in reconnecting with friends from before and his family. He used to be friends with Nate until Nate grew distant in high school but he decided to take a shot and contact him through social media. They agreed to meet for a drink at Lower Haight and he was excited to see if they could reconnect. He sat there at a table at the bar as he ordered a beer for himself as he waited for his friend to walk in. Would he recognise him? He had a slight British accent now and wasn’t sure if that would throw the guy off.Â
