Siren Song Soap

If a few years ago unicorn soaps were trending, now it’s the era of mermaid soap. They are quite popular on the internet now. I see more and more people making them, especially on Etsy.

So, I decided to follow the mass and create my version of a mermaid soap. I am a sheep, shame on me!

To create the soap, I decided to get some inspiration on Pinterest. See the pictures below.

The goal was to get a mermaid tail in a wavy cyan ocean, with glitter and sea salt on top.

For the project, I used Fine Silver Rainbow eco glitter, Midnight Water fragrance oil, Pacific Blue, Evergreen, and Aqua Pearl mica from brambleberry.com

The fragrance accelerates trace, so I end up with very thick paste, but I managed to get something pretty out of the mess. I was aiming for an aqua and white color but due to discoloration, the white became yellow.

So, instead of a beautiful aqua sea, I got an avocado like ocean :/
