Alastor and Mahoraga

My friend asked me to make these two. I haven't really watched anything from Hazbin Hotel and Jujitsu Kaisen. Also I used some art as reference for Mahoraga and one of them had blue teeth. If that isn't accurate my bad.

Wretches!

The Wretch effect: When someone is deteriorating mentally, they come at risk to what is called the “Wretch effect”. The wretch effect is an occurrence to both the physical body and mental state of someone who has low sanity and if left untreated can lead to someone transforming into a wretch. When someone loses sanity it is often because of trauma, physical damage, illness, lack of sleep, lack of food and water, and others that would often lead to a worsening mental state. The wretch effect has a total of three stages. The first stage shows yellowing eyes, dry skin, and shaking hands. The second stage will show worsening symptoms of the previous stage and they will start to show extreme aggravation. The final stage is when all symptoms worsen and aggravation changes to manic violence. The first two stages are treatable with food, almond water, and human contact but are completely untreatable when stage three is met. 

Wretch: Wretches are deformed wanderers who have fallen victim to the wretch effect. Wretches have red leathery skin that is often described to look similar to a dog with mange. They have long unkept nails on both hands and feet, jagged yellowed teeth, and crusty yellow eyes. They are often seen wearing torn clothes and carrying makeshift weapons. They usually wander around looking for food, often scavenging and/or hunting entities or wanderers. When alone they are seen talking or laughing to themselves. If they find something they want to kill they will usually yell unintelligible nonsense while attacking. 

Wretch variants: The wretch effect has also been observed to produce two other wretch variants that have been labeled: Wretch gnomes, and Ogre Wretches. 

Wretch gnomes are when a wretch Their bones and muscles start to weaken and shrink to the point where their stature is similar to someone with dwarfism. This happens somewhere after the third stage. They are often seen wielding small sharp weapons and often hide to ambush wanderers by slicing their Achilles tendon. 

Ogre wretches are the opposite of wretch gnomes. Instead of decreasing in both muscle and bone density it increases, making them larger and more muscular. They often use their large hands and feet to crush anything it finds but that is where the benefits of their muscle growth ends. Their large amount of muscle slows them down due to the weight and with a large amount of muscle of their brow bone, limits their vision.

Are all the backrooms enteties in the movie are people in costumes?

Yeah. I think most of the entities are actors in costumes but i do believe there is one exception.

My thoughts on "The Backrooms" movie

Everything I say is in my own opinion. I highly recommend watching the film yourself and develop your own opinion on the film.

Story:

Pros: The story was very well made. I believe it spans well from the internet series and its development on the characters and the backrooms as a whole was very captivating.

Cons: Not much ASYNC but I did know that they weren't going to have much of a role in the film so I wasn't really that disappointed.

The Backrooms as a whole:

Pros: I love the idea of the backrooms being somewhat conscious. It trying to remember things from our world but getting things wrong is both a cosmic and abstract horror concept that really creeps me out. Plus the locations and how they look is just soooo weird and strange.

Cons: none

Entities:

Pros: Love the still-life and on how they behave and look. They're so strange and uncomfortable to look at. And with Captain Clarke at the end chasing down Mary was such a good suspenseful way to do the climax.

Cons: Not much bacteria/life form. I believe it makes an appearance in the intro and maybe when it kills bobby but that's really it. I was kind of hoping to see more of it but maybe that would have taken the horror away from it.

Music:

Pros: Kane parsons and Edo Van Breemen did a fantastic job with the music. It ramps up the tension and eeriness of the scenes so well plus there's a cameo song from "The Caretaker" but I won't saw which song though, your going to have to find out yourself.

cons: none

Horror:

Pros: Fantastic! The music and visuals make everything feel so strange but that's all I will say. Watch the film yourself.

Cons: none, I think the horror was done excellently.

Acting:

Pros: I really enjoyed the acting of the movie and I believe everyone who was chosen to play the characters was perfect!

Cons: I believe Clark near the end felt strange when he just switched into the bad guy. I know he was going insane but he was only there for only a few days. You could say that we was already going mad before and I could understand, We was obsessed with the backrooms before bringing kat and bobby but still it was a bit strange but I still enjoyed it.

Final thoughts:

I believe the film exceeded my expectations by so many miles. I wish to watch it again but I must wait for streaming and hope to here more on others opinions about it. If you have watched it what do you think about it?

The Gamemaster and The Windows

The Gamemaster: In level 389 where games designate your fate, The Gamemaster lays in boredom. The Gamemaster appears to be a human sized jester-like puppet that wears a yellow and blue cloth with red pompoms. When she is in a room she is suspended by white strings that are attached to the ends of her robes and head. But it is also reported that she may have multiple arms underneath her clothes. The strings come from holes in the ceiling that appears to be from a starry night sky. She is often described as joyful and mischievous. When someone enters the level; The Gamemaster will force them to play a game of there choosing which will always have some sort of cruel twist to it. If you win you will be allowed to explore the level in its entirety, A prize of your choosing, and to leave the level. But if you fail you will be absorbed into the level itself. When dealing with the Gamemaster you must choose a game that you are experienced with but be careful she often likes to cheat and trick you. You must also never cheat in the game that your playing or you will immediately be absorbed.

The Windows: Windows are malevolent entities that use nostalgia and comfort to trick and kill victims. They look like there namesake that shows ether a outdoor location or a childhood home and usually Infront of the window will usually be a comfort food that the victim had enjoyed in there childhood. Often times the object may also look like something from there favorite holiday when they were a kid. If someone gets too close, the window will open to a black void where a pair of human hands will reach out and pull the person in. If the person is successfully taken the window will close and the location that was being shown will be covered by a curtain and the window will sink into the wall. When encountering a window its best to stay away from what it offers but if you have some sort of way to get the items it offers from a safe distance, You may be able to get something from it.

More partygoers from The Backrooms!

Three more partygoer variants that work within level fun+ (also sorry for the names being bad, this time I was in a rush)

Partygoer (Caretaker / Purple): The caretakers are tall and snake like, using there bodies to squeeze through gaps thanks to there own lack of note-clipping abilities. They are frail and weak and reside on their sharp claws and mandibles for defense. They reside in the deepest parts of level fun+, where the normal lights are changed out with blacklights. Their job is to bring humans to the "Birthday room" Which is a large purple vat of liquid that if physically exposed to will slowly transform someone into a partygoer.

Partygoer (Tracker / Orange): The hunters are large animal like partygoers that resemble a hybrid of a tiger and dog. They have large, clawed, paws for their front legs and have a flail like tail that is described to be rock-like. They are usually only seen when hunting for any run-away guests and pulling carts full of supplies.

Partygoer (Guard / Red): The guards are tall and spikey and are known for protecting locations of interest in level fun+. There most noticeable attributes are there large hands and strange mouth structure where it is told that there mouths split apart revealing multiple sets of teeth.

The Partygoers from The Backrooms!

Level fun has always been my favorite backrooms level. The looks of level fun have always gave me the vibe of a family trying to pull a birthday party together but on a budget due to hard times and that always gave me a comforting feeling; But with the addition of psychotic colorful monsters gave it a nice spin of creepiness. In my version of the backrooms different colored partygoers have different features and tasks. (btw the first two names are intentionally miss spelled to give a goofy feel I forgot to do that to the other two.)

Partygoer (Inviter / yellow): The classic partygoer seen on level fun. Known for note-clipping through walls and flanking victims, They hunt for "guests" and bring them to their home "Level fun+" so they can meet a fate worse than death. They have a square like build similar to the popular character "Gumby" and they have noodle like arms that have human like mouths at the end. They have yellow rubbery skin that allows them to somewhat blend withing level fun's walls and upon their slab of a body is a carved "face" that has been reported to have teeth and/or eyes.

Partygoer (chef / green): Shorter than there yellow brethren, The chefs can only be found in level fun +'s kitchens, preparing dishes made from countless entities for partygoers to enjoy. Those dishes include: Hound cakes, Death moth pies, and deep fried smiler eyes. They are shorter than most party goers but make up for that with there long arms that they use to reach to their tools that are hanged up high close to the ceiling (just in case any runaways get to the kitchen). They have large mouths that are used for taste testing their dishes and used to sever any limbs of their victims.

Partygoer (watcher / cyan): Legless and bounded by balloons, They float in the most open rooms of level fun+, to look out for any runaway guests that are trying to escape. Unlike other partygoers their flesh isn't rubbery but instead of a cloth like material. If they spot a victim they will open their mandibles and fire a arm like tongue that will grapple prey and pull them towards them. It will then to proceed to devour them and keep them in their cloth stomachs until they are carried down for extraction.

Partygoer (Cupcake / pink): These little crawlers are known for skittering around level fun+ and sometimes have been spotted in level fun. They are small, pink and have a strange face formation that no other partygoer has. Their role in the partygoers colony is unknown but they have been observed to swarm and devour any runaways that have been unlucky enough to be seen in the ball pits.

If a partygoer is killed, the balloon that is usually attached to them will pop into confetti and will attract any nearby partygoers.

Took some time to make the third panel (hence why it's late) but I am happy how it turned out! I am still trying my best with backgrounds and lettering and I may just hand write the text on the next comic to see how it is.

Comic Delay

Sorry but the next comic will be delayed by only a day. I will have it out by tomorrow; It was just that the backgrounds required a lot of work.
