Remnants. This week I repurposed my screen printing table for another project. I started screen printing in 2012-ish, when I wanted to print yardage for garments and accessories and found digital print minimums to be prohibitive. So this was my solution. Little did I know that it would become my meditation, too. I created the print with metal studs. I sat on the floor of my studio with hundreds of studs in all shapes and sizes and a piece of foam board. Night after night, I sat there, pressing the studs into the foam board to come up with a pattern. Next I photographed it, reduced the color to black and white in photoshop and created the repeat.
