RTF students Colin Rooney, John Breitling, Eric Cheavers, Lauren Stroz, and Matt Wood were honored at the 2013 Downbeach Film Festival for their work with Pact5, a campaign that uses student documentaries to address the epidemic of sexual assault in college. Their work earned a Special Project Award. #rowanuniversity
Katalyst, a documentary by students Matt Wood and Colin Rooney, won Best Documentary at the 2013 Rowan RTF Media Festival. Katya, an amateur artist and survivor of sexual assault, goes on a journey of healing. She comes into contact with other survivors and takes steps with them to overcome the trauma caused by her assault years earlier.
'Undeveloped,' by Brian Coulter, Allison McNamara, Crista Pilliteri, Lauren Karstens, and Jon Simmons, took first place for Best Short Film at the inaugural Rowan RTF Media Festival. A photography student's world starts to develop out of his control when he enters the darkroom.
High school students from around New Jersey came to an open house at Rowan University. While they were there, they met with Rowan faculty and toured the television production studio and radio station.
