I've recently returned from a hiatus, and I could just use some positivi-Tea if you could please spare some?

first of all, welcome back. i hope the hiatus filled your cup with whatever you were needing. taking a break can be good for the soul but also good for the mind as a reminder that this hobby is just a hobby. you're meant to enjoy it. i hope going forward you do.
the more important thing, though, is what made you want to return finally. only you can answer that but you know what it is. maybe it's the rush of creativity when developing or maybe it's the joy of collaboration or maybe it's just the thrill of the silly shenanigans you can get your characters up to. whatever that spark is for you, hold onto it. it's the important part.
i truly hope returning brings you nothing but joy. welcome back, anon!
i've noticed the GOAT rpcpositivitea seems to have stepped back from their platform (if you're reading this i hope you're doing okay!) and seeing as the gossip blogs don't want to die down i thought why not take the mantle myself. so send in something nice about a friend, a site, the community, even yourself if you want. self love is totally acceptable here.
a little bit about me: 30s, she/her, non-american. i mostly write rl but also dip into fantasy with the right plot. i really enjoy watching soccer and i make a mean banana bread
there's not many rules but: 1. keep it nice obviously!! negative/mean spirited posts won't be posted. 2. the only people you can't praise here are the gossip blogs. it feels antiethical to the point. HOWEVER please also refrain from insulting the blogs either in your asks going forward. we're here to have a good time, let's focus on that part. After Hours is one of the best communities I have been a part of in a long time. Running into old friends and meeting new ones while being on a site that is so welcoming and kind has made writing that much more fun.

don't listen to everything you see on the gossip blogs because pretty venom has a gorgeous skin, ads, and their admins are nothing but kind and try to work with you when you go to them about something.
whoever is talking shit clearly has a vendetta against a site that's been open for years. sites don't stay open for YEARS with shitty admins, just saying
