Jen took this photo this morning and noticed some redness around my left eye. A cursory check revealed a knot forming on my eyelid. It appears to be on the outside of the eyelid, but she is concerned all the same. She will be calling the vet Monday to schedule an appointment for me.

Yella’s surgery was a rousing success!
He had to wear a cone for several days and Jen put ointment in his eyes for a couple weeks, but look at him now!
The biopsy results confirmed granulominous conjunctivitis. Yella’s going to remain on lysine forever I guess, so help prevent another flare-up, because this could happen to him again.
We are all so happy for Yella, but no one is more happy…

Not-so-good News at the Vet Today
Hi everybody!
We went back to the veterinary ophthalmologist today and the news wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
She told me and Jen that my eyes aren’t getting any better with medication and she doesn’t want to up the steroid dosage because it could impact my liver, kidneys, and cause diabetes. Surgery is the next step. Jen scheduled it for next Tuesday.
The good news is the vet said it shouldn’t…

Yesterday I went back to see that eye vet doctor. She said my eyes weren’t getting any better and she prescribed steroid tablets. I have to go back again next week.

So we went back to the vet ophthalmologist yesterday for a two-week check-up.
Yella this past weekend
Yella still has the lumps on his eyelids, but much of the inflammation has receded and he acts like his eyes don’t bother him as much. We’re to continue the drops for another three weeks and return for another follow-up appointment.

Wednesday Yella went to see an ophthalmologist! She wasn’t the nicest person in the world, but if she fixes Yella’s eyes, Jen says she don’t care!
