Colorful Liquid Splashes by Floto+Warner Studio
“Colourant” is an impressive series by creative duo Jeremy and Cassandra of Floto+Warner Studio. Source:theinspirationgrid
Cassandra Warner and Jeremy Floto of Floto+Warner Studio recently produced this beautiful series of photos titled Clourant that seemingly turns large splashes of colorful liquid into glistening sculptures that hover in midair. The photos were shot at a speed of 1/3,500th of a second, taking special care to disguise the origin of each burst making images appear almost digital in nature (the duo assures no Photoshop was used). text:thisiscolossal

Galaxy “eating” surrounding gas
This is the Carina Nebula, between 6,500 and 10,000 light years away from Earth in a constellation of the same name. This single pillar of gas and dust measures three light years in height; the red and purple hues of the nebula come from hot hydrogen gas interacting with ultraviolet radiation from the nebula’s massive young stars that are buried within it. 10 Photos Of Norway’s Fairy Tale Architecture
Norway started out as a kingdom in 872 and has existed ever since. It has also saved quite a bit of its traditional architecture. Traditional Norwegian architecture makes it look like a land out of a fairytale. Stave churches – so named because of the Norse words for their load-bearing poles – were extremely popular back in the 12th century, and their unique shape matched with all-wooden construction make is simply spectacular.
Norvegian vernacular (as in, built to local requirements and using local materials) architecture is wonderful. Moss and even trees grow on the roofs of wooden or stone buildings, making Norway a sort of Norse Shire. Have a look, and plan your next holiday accordingly!

The more we’re used to the idea that shooting isn’t the universal language of storytelling, the more we can let some games play by their own set of cartoonish rules.
