“I hope I don’t come across condescending when I say this, but you’re kind of adorable,” he says, letting out the last of his laughs. “Oh? More of a TV series or web-series kind of person? Or books?”
“It is the accent.”  She giggles slightly embarrassed.  “I was not allowed to watch movies or TV.  So books.”
Nadezhda’s start to the world was a poor one.  The girl was conceived on a night full of drinking, drugs, and partying in Bryansk, Russia.  In order to get some privacy Nadezha’s parents went to the dark, grimy, damp, trash, and rodent invested alley behind the apartment for in which this is where Nadezhda and her twin was conceived.  Nadezhda’s mom did not realize she was pregnant until she was in the second trimester with the twins for she was always to high to know left from right. One day she found out because a friend told her the signs. So her mother told her father and they ran away to Moscow abandoning their families in order to get married and save having to explain why the child was being born out of wedlock.  However, they had no money so they could not afford a hospital or proper prenatal care.  So a mutual friend of their who had studied to be a midwife before dropping out of college to pursue other interests offeree to come over to the Petrov’s dark, cold, and run-down apartment to help give birth to Nadezhda and her twin. The Petrov’s were shocked when they found out they were having twins for they could not afford the proper prenatal check-ups. Because of the lack of proper medical procedures the Petrov twins were born addicted to drugs for their mother did not stop using while she had been pregnant and no one had caught the parents useage. Â
Nadezhda’s parents did not care for the twins.  Most of the time they were to high to take care of themselves.  So from an early age Nadezhda went to school and took care of her family.  She often wandered the streets in her wore and tattered clothes begging for food.  Finally, by the age of 16 her and her parents were out of money.  She had hoped that this would mean her parents would finally clean up and start getting their lives together, but instead a worse fate came for the teenager.  Her parents sold her to Vadim Smirnov a man greatly known for sex trafficking.Â
Vadim noticed how beautiful Nadezhda was and how she was clean from drugs.  He knew that if he cleaned the street rat off her he could make a fortune in America off her.  So he invested a lot of time and effort into her making her his perfect girl before he finally brought her over to America at 18 years old. For two years Nadezhda went to the top schools in Russia during the day and was broken in by her new pimp at night.  Throughout the years Nadezhda proved herself to be Smirnov’s best girl and earned her way into the top girl. Â
One day when she went on a job the John was not her typical client. Â He was a man who was going to help her escape from Smirnov. Â She listened to everything he had to say and agreed to go with him. Â Nadezhda now resides in Twinlakes in hiding from Smirnov and hoping to be reunited with her twin.Â
Dax couldn’t help but giggle at her pronunciations. “It’s pronounced coincidence,” he corrects her. “Serendipity! Like a pleasant surprise. Or the 2001 film.”
“Co-in-ci-den-ce.”  Nade said as her eyes crossed as she focused on pronouncing the word correctly.  “I do not know much about films.”
“Who does not love a cat in a hat?”  Nade giggles more.  “Were you trying to rhyme or was it happy…..oh…what’s the word…..Q something….”
“Happy…Q?” His brows push together. “I mean, there’s happy coincidence and happy accident. Oh, and my favorite—serendipity!”Â
