Flo - I Can't Be High Around You Anymore
RYAN DESTINY , 2026 vanity fair's oscar afterparty .
Not quite secretly, but inwardly Kid thought the two of them could pass Jay and Beyonce', obviously it wasn't an apples to apples comparison but they were on the trajectory to be something like the two of them of their generation, and Kid was nothing if not competitive and ambitious. That wasn't why he loved Siobhan though, what they had rooted and bloomed independent of their careers, aspirations or anything - that they supported one another and understood each other's drive was a testament to their bond, not a product of it. "Hell yeah, because I'm about to eat so much, I'm starving. But let's go to CD Peacock after, I want to get us something to commemorate the moment."
"You did it again, didn't you?" She asked him, with a shake of her head. "Why do we meal prep if you're not going to take food to the studio with you?" Siobhan scolded him, in only the way she and well, his mother could. "Not only does it help make sure you don't come back to me starving, but you need food to help that brain of yours create what is surely going to be the next record of the year winner." She said, as she draped her arms around his neck and placed a quick kiss to his lips. "... don't think I'm forgetting about the whole starving things but you do know I live for a CD Peacock moment."

"Come on you're telling me you don't love dynasty talk?" Kid knew none of that came before a marriage and he was absolutely going to do that, it was only a matter of time though, and he absolutely wasn't about to do it now when Siobhan's friend was proposing to his girl, and on top of that he had goals he wanted to accomplish before he popped the question, and though he was nearly there, nearly wasn't good enough, not for Siobhan. "Absolutely, but it's cool because it makes sense. If on top of everything else that you are you could blow too? That's too much power. Of course, he followed her off of the couch, and wrapped his arms around her from behind, "I don't know about all of that. We're celebrating tonight, girl. Where do you want to go?"
"Now, you know I do." She said, her face scrunched as other than Soren, no one knew her better than the man by her side. "Absolutely?" Siobhan repeated after her man, laughing at his blatant honesty. "I suppose you're right. There's only space on this earthly realm for someone that talented and that is my queen, Beyonce. But we are gonna give Jay and her a lil run for their money now." She teased, knowing that Kid and her could never. But that didn't mean that they weren't about to forge their own lane. His quite nice arms found themselves wrapped around her, Siobhan leaning back into his embrace. "I feel like today calls for a trip into the city, no?" She asked, turning so that she was facing him. "I'm calling Oriole for our table."
"First an empire, then after we completely body that we'll transition into a dynasty." They were both ambitious despite their different mediums, and Kid was happy that their ambition could converge like this. "I was not talking about singing Zoe at the end of passionfruit was more of what I was thinking yeah. I'm trying to sell songs not get sued because of them."
"Which we will." She interjected quickly, as she had no doubts. Kid and herself were as business oriented as they were gorgeous. "Don't you start with that dynasty talk." Siobhan teased, pressing another kiss to his cheek. She was still missing a certain shimmery accessory on her ring finger before they began on that route. But knowing he wanted to lay the ground work so that any kids they could or might have, it just made her love him all that much more. "Oh, are you throwing shade?" She asked, pulling back from him with a nod of her head as she got herself up from the couch. "Keep that up and you're going to get real acquainted with that couch tonight."
"Yeah, and it makes since though right? I think luxury and I think of us. Baby, we are a luxury brand." Of the two of them, Kid was the most likely to brag, what with Siobhan being a proper southern belle and all, so when she talked her shit, it never failed to amuse Kid in the best way, "Facts, baby." He laughed as she kissed all over his face. "So that's what you want to pursue first? I mean we're building an empire so all of it will come eventually, but this is what you want to be first up? I'm defaulting to you for last say on this one." There was a lot of legal bull shit that would come with the creation of the brand, nothing either of them were unfamiliar with at this point, but here and now Kid could just celebrate the W with his girlfriend. "You know what's crazy though? We're about to have a whole joint business portfolio and to this day I still haven't been able to get you to feature on any of my songs in any capacity."
"I believe it'd actually be the perfect first step." Siobhan told her man, giddy at the thought. What better way to let the world know that they were taking this huge step than with a stellar campaign. She could already picture how ecstatic Dylan and her sister would be— knowing that Soren be the first to throw them a party for this occasion. "An empire." She repeated after him, her heart skipping a beat at that moment. Now, she'd always been able to stand on her own besides Kid, intentionally so as she never just wanted to be 'his girl' but now she wore that title happily. She was Kid Grantwood's girl. "Now, why would you want that?" Siobhan laughed, shaking her head. "You've heard me sing, baby." She was not going to mess up one of his tracks with that foolishness. "The most you can get out of me, is perhaps an interlude or an outro very a la Zoe Kravitz at the end of Passionfruit. If you want that, I would be more than happy to oblige."
"As far as I'm concerned it's been us since…shit middle school but I know what you mean - us, the brand." That too could have an asterisk because they'd been a couple in the public eye for a long time and Para socially, there were plenty of people already invested in their relationship, putting an LLC behind their endeavor made it a new thing though, and Kid could appreciate that. He got off of Siobhan and made room for himself on the couch, then wrapped his arm around her while he scrolled. "Okay well before we jump into that, we got a new endorsement offer from Rolex, she thinks whatever we go with, we should at least announce it in tandem when the ads go live. Really we can go with whatever avenue we want, but she's partial to a his and hers skincare line, clothing line, perfume/cologne. Those are her big 3. I like the idea of a skincare line. These faces aren't flawless for nothing."
The brand. Siobhan found herself smiling brighter at the thought. It was logically the next step for them, after having been together for as long as they'd been. They shared so much of their lives; from their beautiful home to their pets (shout out to Jigga and Flavor Flav )— why not an LLC as well. "Oh, really?" Siobhan asked her boyfriend. "I have to say whoever's the head of marketing over at Rolex definitely has taste." She took of her boyfriend's free hand, idly playing with it as he spoke on the avenues that'd been presented to him thus far. "I love the idea of that." She found herself laughing as he spoke of their features. Now Siobhan was quite humble when it came to her boyfriend and her looks, but she wasn't blind. She knew that Kid and herself were just about one of the hottest couples she knew. Their face cards would never decline. Siobhan leaned in closer, pressing her lips to Kid's cheek. "You know had you asked fourteen year old Siobhan if she'd find herself here, with you, with offers to a face for Rolex and start a skincare line..." She said, it now being her turn to pepper kisses all over his face. "I think I would have said that sounds about right." Siobhan pulled away with a small laugh.
"You know if you keep making me look like a flake like this I'm gonna have to tell Summer I'm not actually the one holding up the process. Come here." Kid beckoned to Siobhan, putting his phone down after reading another email imploring him to set up a meeting about building a brand specifically with Siobhan. They had options of course and Kid's manager very much wanted to explore those options but to date Siobhan hadn't given him a solid date on when they could do that. Kid wasn't sure where the apprehension was coming from or if there was at all but he was done with guessing and decide to do a crazy little thing called conversing with his partner. He got up and scooped Siobhan into his arms effortlessly, spinning around a few times as he made his way to their couch that he tossed her on then got on top of her and nipped at her neck with frantic kisses, "Talk to me, babe. You getting cold feet about mixing business with personal?"

Siobhan had been marking dates off in her calendar, notedly a very important dinner that Stefan McKibbon need Kid and herself in attendance for when Kid had spoken up. She bit down on her lower lip as he spoke, knowing that they hadn't exactly broached the topic since the offer had been put on the table. A brand. Kid and Siobhan. She was still wrapping her head around the thought. Yes, they'd been this very forward facing couple and they had been for quite sometime now... but their endeavors had never really mixed. "It's definitely on me, I know." Siobhan playfully groaned as she made her way over to her man, happy to find herself in his arms. Her favorite place to be, quite honestly. His lips soon found themselves at her neck, laughter leaving her as he kissed at her skin. "What? No." Siobhan shook her head, bringing her hands up to the sides of Kid's face. "No. That's not it. At all." She spoke, her eyes looking directly into his. "It's more like of a whoa. Once we take this step, we're us. And I'm just taking that in, that's all." Siobhan said, the thought of that bringing a big smile onto her features. "But I do want to know what's our first order of business? What does Summer have in mind for us?"

Stefan chuckled if only because he had a sneaking suspicion that it would probably never change that the fastest way to get Siobhan to go from zero to 100 is to come for her relationship. "My man, my man, my man..." He grinned momentarily, but listened intently all the same, "Sounds like a nightmare. He must be a strong guy. And no, I called you an old maid - a very big difference. I don't want those kinds of problems, Hawkins."
"Yes, my man, my man, my man." Siobhan said with a playful roll of her eyes. "And I'm going to make sure you never forget it." She let him know with a laugh. "Get out of here. That's a dream come true to many." She said, with a flip of her hair as she knew that she was many of people's dream girl. "You sure as hell don't." She let him know, poking at his arm teasingly.
"Disgustingly, but as a member of the perfect partner club I won't do too much, just know that the world is sick of it. Actually on a serious note, how does that feel, your relationship in the spotlight 24/7 like that. That's got to be a lot of pressure. Fans can be fucking nuts and your guy has a lot of them." Stefan let out a chuckle, finding it amusing that Siobhan was just as bewildered that the label of 'friend' applied to the two of them, "If I'm an old man, then you're an old maid, so is that really the game you want to play with me, Hawkins?"
"And they are allowed to be sick of it, just like I'm allowed to continue to express my love for my man." Siobhan let him know with a shrug, as she was way past the age of caring what others thought. "It's not always easy." She said, as it hadn't been. "There's been many moments where Kid's fame has certainly drove us to some disagreements, but he does a really amazing job of reminding me that no matter what, at the end of the day, no matter where he is... I'm the first and last person he talks." Siobhan said, with a scrunch of her nose as she never spoke of her relationship in great detail with Stefan but that was the truth. Kid always put her first, and she certainly did the same for him. "Did you just call me a maid? Don't get too comfortable, McKibbon." She asked him, bringing her fan right up to her face as his penance.
"And it's a badge of honor. It's just so lovely to know that I'm on your mind." Stefan couldn't track how they got to the friendship they had if he tried, but he was willing to admit he was grateful for it. "Perfection? You can't lay it on thick like this all of the time." He was one to talk considering the way he spoke of Tinsley at any given moment, but that wasn't going to stop him from giving her grief, "I appreciate it. I don't utilize just anyone's contacts, but I think I may actually call yours. You're one of the rare individuals whose standards are as high as mine."
"I'm glad you know just how big a deal that is." Siobhan found herself laughing, the man in front of her could be called a lot of things but boring was certainly not one of them. "Well, I didn't exactly refer to him as perfect, I called him a perfectionist but... he is perfect actually. So yeah, both apply." She let Stefan know, as Kid had been perfect to her. Hence why they'd lasted this long and it didn't appear that'd be changing any time soon. She loved him just as much, if not more with every passing year. "You're welcome. I mean, you're one of my oldest... friends? that I've had here in Rosewood— we've got to look out for one another, old man." Siobhan nodded, a small smile on her features. "That's damn right."
