Itās crazy to say, but I am the happiest I have ever been. Raphael and I moved back to Stockton for 10 months to save money.. well, a lot contributed to that happening. I failed fundamentals theory, moved back in the middle of nursing school, started to commute from Stockton to Oakland every single day. I could not find a job inĀ between the time I found out I got in and somehow afford my bills and rent in San Francisco. After that was the journey of commuting at 3 AM to 5 AM depending on the day then returning around 9-10 PM.. overall, it was very miserable. I was very depressed and developed anxiety due to other factors. I couldnāt do well. I was not okay. I was at my worst.
I absolutely hate being stagnant with nothing to do. After that, I picked up a medical receptionist job that paid me $25/hr! Quite generous for my first time experience. I was really blessed to work with amazing pediatricians and gain a touching letter of recommendation. Saved up $8k to redo and stabilize my environment once more. I wanted to make this time around very effective and efficient for myself and Raphael.
I am now repeating nursing school, but I am excelling this time around. I am averaging 85% or above on my exams. Last year, it was always under passing 72-76% and I was always on edge about passing. Hell, I feel so connected and more organized. I am still relearning absolutely everything because I donāt remember any of the content. I know how to study effectively and Iām no longer scrambling forĀ āhow to studyā videos. Iām happy to see the progress and growth Iāve made these past few months.
I feel so new, but more seasoned when it comes to patient interaction. I am working as medication aide for $19/hr for now, so I can gain patient direct care. It has been a bit hectic, but worrying about one course. I feel happier with myself and not hyper-focused on how I look anymore. I am not content with my body, but I feel prettier? I can actually say I feel beautiful and not cry at the sight of me.
