Football Australia, PFA condemn ‘abhorrent’ trolls for Matildas abuse

Revealing images of two Matildas players have been shared by anonymous accounts on social media without their consent, prompting football authorities to alert the eSafety Commissioner’s office and the police.

glad the media actually set the record straight. those homophobic fuckers on twitter were really getting on my last nerve. hope the fed police scare the crap out of them for sharing those photos illegally.

we need to get the homophobic men outta auswoso stat (including those journos who just encouraged this behaviour ugh). if only the original story had been treated with the same respect & dignity in reporting as the nwsl work by the Athletic, we would be in a v different place.

Manchester City Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Australian international Hayley Raso on a two-year deal.

Speaking about her move, she said: “It feels amazing – I’m just so excited to be here at this huge Club.

“Having played in the WSL last season, I really liked the league – it’s very tough and competitive and being able to come to a team like City who are up there fighting for all the trophies and playing in the Champions League, it’s an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.

anyone speculating that kerr will return to NWSL, I’d say highly unlikely. Europe is where the Matildas need to be right now - particularly for Kerr to develop other skills beyond the athleticism/ball in behind attack that we already know she is good at.

More likely it’s a long distance sitch or Mewis to WSL in my opinion.
