While you’re finding it difficult to sit for even 10 minutes and listen to a lesson, there’s a Madkhali out there full on ‘seeking knowledge’, attending duroos without a break, and claiming the title of ‘talib al-‘ilm,’ so he can then upgrade it to ‘ustadh’ and spread his deviant creed.

You complain about the Madkhilah, but you’re not even trying to compete against them.

One of the greatest motivations for the Muslim woman to cover herself, (head to toe, including the eyes) should also be as a form of competition with Jewish women. Of course, besides the fact that it pleases Allah ta’ala and that it follows the footsteps of the Aahabiyyat, may Allah be pleased with them all, there is also that sense of competition.

Many of us have seen the way Haredi Jewish women dress, and whether I like to admit it or not, they outshine the majority of Muslim women when it comes to not attracting attention. Their clothing is simple and not based on trends or fashionable fabrics or styles. I am not saying that a Muslim woman should dress like she is homeless) but there is something to reflect on there. My family said something a few days ago, they said, “A Muslim woman does not need that many clothes. One Niqab. One Jilbab. That is enough.”

Even the clothing of the little girls of Haredi Jews outshine that of many Muslim women. Little girls!

They stayed true to their pledge until their final breath, and those who had not yet been granted the key to Jannah never broke their promise but upheld it until they met the fragrance of musk.

I believe that many who delay with tawbah are those unaware of the punishments awaiting them for their sins, even for something as “simple” as lying. It is not merely that you will have “one sin, two sins, three sins” collected in your book of deeds. Rather, every sin has a corresponding punishment, both in this dunya and in the akhira. Many of these punishments have been made known to us. Search them up, read about them, and perhaps this will cause many to rush toward seeking forgiveness from their Lord.

“…Little did they know, killing him was freeing his soul, not only from their hostility and captivity, but from the captivity of this entire vanishing Dunyā. They freed his soul into a green bird that roams freely in Jannah as it pleases, and then returns to shelter in the lanterns suspended from the Throne of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. There are many happy endings, but the happiest ending of all is when one meets Allāh سبحانه وتعالى while Allāh is pleased with him. So imagine it with a warm welcoming of َقِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ. Imagine it with a warm welcoming of,

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْكُم بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ ۚ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ

‘Peace [i.e., security] be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home.’ {13:24}”

There’s this dream that gets repeated every now and then throughout the Caucasus.

A man narrates his dream:

“I was sitting on a bus, and in this bus was RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Sahaba. As the bus was driving, we came upon the edge of a high cliff. Me and the Sahaba rushed outside to stop it, to save RasulAllah. I began gathering rocks, placing them beneath the wheels to keep the bus from falling. When I looked to see what the Sahaba were doing, I saw them laying their own heads beneath the wheels. I was trying to save myself while saving RasulAllah, but they were ready to sacrifice their own lives to save him.”

This is the difference between us and the Sahaba ‏رضي الله عنهم.

From a lecture by Ahmad Medinskiy on dreams

*rough translation*

“There was an operation where two brothers, one Chechen and one Russian, both went, this brother (the Chechen one) is alive and I can introduce any of you to him. He got injured and he went and fell asleep. And he sees in his sleep, this Russian brother - he was in his clothing with his weapon, and the brother, (the one seeing the dream) he says to him ‘you were just there in the operation and you died..’, ‘no’ he says, ‘I’m alive!..look..I’m alive!’ He says ‘no we just saw how you were killed.’…’No’, he says, ‘I’m alive!’

…he then told me this dream.”

As Muslims, we really need to step up wallaahi and leave this life that knows nothing but the language of comfort. We need to break this loop of “depression” that is common among the youth and stop being stagnant. There’s alot of khayr we can invest in if we just stand up together. There’s alot of khayr we can bring in if we stop being average. There’s alot of khayr we can live in if we go back to our roots (Quran and sunnah) and build in ourselves lofty spirits.

You were not created to live this mediocre life. Allaah created you for the ultimate loftiest goal which is to worship Him and to establish its implications in the land. We really need to wake up and see where we are heading. Wallaahi each and every young Muslim contains such an extraordinary thing within them just by having this لا إله إلا الله in their hearts, but only if they could understand.
