I ran across this old picture this morning, and it made me smile. Back when I managed the pet store, my daughter came to work with me one day. She went to help one of the employees who were cleaning the feeder mice tank, and she found this tiny little girl nearly flattened - overnight, the mouse had likely crawled under a heavy water bowl, the bedding shifted and the bowl fell on top of her. When we found her, she looked like she was dying. Her tiny body was flat as a pancake, and she was having seizures. Morgan (@sk8steveo ) held her in her cupped hands and breathed warm air on her. The tiny mouse appeared to relax, and, shortly after, she looked a bit better. We placed her in a small tank and Morgan leaned over to whisper to her. I thought it was cute so I pulled out my phone to snap a picture. Just in time to catch this amazing moment...the little mouse stood on her hind legs, grabbed Morgan's face with her tiny hands, and kissed her. Needless to say, Sushi - as we later named her - has become a part of our family. 😊
